Prompt #30: Sojourn
Hyphen Yaeger (F)
It would be foolish to think that it will not happen
That trusty companions will go back one day, leaving her, not alone, but somehow empty.
They are looking how, but more often than not, it ends in failure.
However, you could see her with a lone look. As if she was trying to see into the future and hope it would not get distracted.
She has started to mourn the loss of her companions. Once or twice a week. She knows she won’t be ready, but at least, when the time comes, she hopes they all can remember her with a smile rather than all sobbing and face red from crying

All the Hyphens
"When nine and nine meet nine, the depths of reason shall stir. When the seal of creation is broken, a voice like thunder shall sound, and thou shalt know—We have arrived" one of the Hyphens said out loud
"That's cool, where do you get it from?"
"It just... came to my mind. I feel like I should know where it is from, but I don't know, like if it came from inside me"
"What could it be?"
"Do you think that maybe is another reincarnation of their soul and it just remembered it?"
"That's heavy"
"But sounds possible"
"Forget that! It sounds so cool!"
"Do you think it will happen for us as well?"
And then silence.
"When everyone returns... do you think our minds, our souls can merge at times?"
"We could gossip that way"
"We can keep in touch"
"If we know how it works..."
"Then, we can try?"
"To the books!"
"To investigate!"
"Let's try it our right now, can you read my mind right now?"
"Wait, let me see"...
And that's how they set up to get their already deep bond to get stronger.

If one was to be guilty for showing up their achievements it was gonna be Engi
Not that it was all the time, he thinks; not that it was about everything.
But when he did a version 3.0 of something great, he would show it off.
When he created his first robot minion, he did show it off, as he did with the 100th one.
Is not that he wants to put it on everyone’s face, but he just wants to share his hard work.
And the rest of the group will see all of them gladly.

Prompt #26: Break a Leg

At the top of the podium once more
The reflectors on his face, his respiration quick and his face a little bit hot.
Flowers on one hand, and waiving with the other.
Is part of his ritual now, specially since his teacher can't see him on this star.
"Break a leg" he says to himself before he has to shine, to perform, to jump into action. And from day 1 his teacher had told him that, he's never lost. And he is not planning on today being the first time.

“Now you tell us something about you as a child”
“Like what?” Gentle said
“Whatever, something you now look back to and chuckle”
“Well….” He started to ponder, swinging his head from side to side for a few moments
“When I was little, I used to think that colored animals were born from colored eggs”
A couple of laughs, and reaffirming comments.
“For example, I used to believe that blue chocobos hatched from blue eggs, that turtles had green eggs, and that the white eggs were the odd one out assigned by default to the yellow creatures”
“But that would nature assigned colored eggs to the color of the creature but keep the white one as yellow?”
“Because sometimes, it is cruel with a 4 year old’s brain” he said with an intense stare and then everyone burst in laughter

Witty can be a bit harsh some times...
She will scold you if you have taken the wrong path on a expedition after she told you the correct was the one she was pointing at.
She won't stop to tell you what the safest option is until you have mede your choice, and poor you if you don't pick that one
She might give off a cruel aura from time to time, but if anyone tries to mess up with you or give ou any trouble at all, she will be by your side and in your court no questions asked.
Maybe there is something good about having her be harsh at time, specially if it is on your side.

All of them pitches he threw to the others for an activity today…. But they ended up spending more time deciding why yes and why not.
In the end, Y’Hyphen took a mental note: “skip pitch talk and tell everyone your chosen activity right away, it will take less time anyways”

Can look like a fun guy... at time
And can be joking a lot...at times, just when he feels like it
But he knows how to work around that, you should never have to worry about him not speaking his truth.
You can believe he will tell you if that's a bad decision, if that color does not look good or if he truly does not know.

Out of the rest, you might be inclined to reach out to Engi for a quick fix or solution to one of your problems.
But you should think about it regarding what kind of problem you might reach out to him with.
Mechanical problems? sure! Your robot broke? Ask him. Need a bridge? Let him know! A juice machine with the bare minimum most rustic things? He knows!
But at times he does struggle a bit with the type of personal problems. Not like he doesn't know what or how to do things, but he always goes fo the most complicated solution, that although it might work, it might not be what you are looking for.

Although mildly patient, what she tends to get the most irritated about is getting stuck in a long line with people having trouble counting their change right.
She just wants things to go smoothly as possible, but being behind 10000000000000 more persons and using valuable time.... she thinks they'll better ask her to take a look to let them know if it is right or not

Not everyone is 100% righteous. We all have one or two things that do not really move us.
Like, when you pretend you did not see your sibling taking that snack from the pantry, when someone almost tripped and their face turned bright red...
But there are things that are a no no for the group, but they are not that uncommon, or so one would think.
Never turn a blind eye from a child in danger, for people in distress, for your loved ones....and don't look away from your fellow Hyphen if you could ask for repayment in cake form.

Say, do you know who is the Hyphen, the warrior that has more things?
You might say that it is Bold. The candles and her obsessions do take her time
What about Book? Great Gubol Library? That has nothing on him.
Yet, I think you would be surprised when I tell you that it is indeed Swift.
The thing is, he does hide his stash in many places.
His room, his vault, his retainers, his mount, and some with trusted friends.
What does he have?
A little bit of everything: weapons, clothes, books, recipes, samples of different mushrooms, weeds and trees, little trinkets…. And more that I Can simple not write today.
But are you surprised to hear that is not all for him? That some are for his fellow shards? Some just in case? Some to left her in case is needed….He sure does want to be prepared

“Well, it was quite old, maybe it was before our aether understanding”
“Is that all that it is? Or either has something to do with one of the twelve?”

“We’ll, forget about it. I just look good doing it and I’m good at my job, so I’ll take that!”

He turned to the guild leader in confusion
“I know you know, but the concept is the same in theory”
“What concept?”
“You know…” he let out a sword attack to his opponent
“The more you hit it…” he blocked an attack and driver another in the least orthodox way “the weaker it gets”
“You are getting nowhere with it child”
Another dodge, and a round of slashes that feel like punches, and the opponent is on the floor
“You might say so, master. But he beat me fair and square”
