Hello Idols! Perhaps this is not the announcement you were hoping to get, nor is it one we anticipated delivering in the moment, but alas, the time has come. As admins, we have always adored this roleplay and we’ve been consistently and overwhelmingly impressed by your activity, your enthusiasm, and the quality of your writing and characterization. Seeing our world come to live under your fingertips has been incredible and rewarding in a way we never had imagined. From the start we had big dreams about the roleplay but we’d never imagined it would come as far as it has now. 

The fact that there are still so many of you who have been with us for almost, if not all, of this journey is something that we are immeasurably grateful for, and we are grateful as well to those who came and joined us along the way. We’re sure no one is a stranger to the fact that we hit some rough patches throughout things, and at that time we really did contemplate just throwing in the towel, but the immense support we got from our community here really  went above and beyond what we’d ever hoped for. On all fronts we’ve done our best to learn from mistakes made, to grow along with the scope of the site, and to deliver as many things as we could. Our first revamp was born of necessity to remove ourselves emotionally and contextually from a sour situation, and to have so many of you so kindly support us was incredible and something we never expected. We’ve been criticized for a lot over the past year and change, from trying to do too much to not doing enough, but the ultimate shake down is that we’ve hit the end of what we’re able to do right now. We’ve been pretty clear about coming to this point recently, from seeking out moderators/admin help to paring some things back to restructuring the site, but ultimately, we think that it’s just run its natural course at this point. Perhaps we made the mistake of getting so wrapped up in what people were thinking of us that we tried to appease too many voices at once and ended up falling a little bit short across the board,  or maybe we just let it all get into our heads too much over time and ended up second guessing everything far too much. But the simple truth is that while I still hold all the love in the world for this site, this community, and for our muses, my admin peers are burned out and I’m struggling on top  of, frankly, being unable to continue it without them. Too often lately it’s become so many people asking so many diametrically opposing things of me/of Idolize that it’s exhausted my muse to write and engage with the very things I’m putting out there asking you guys to interact with, which isn’t fair for either party. Too often lately it begins to feel like whatever choice I make, people are happy to pick it apart, which leaves me feeling paralyzed. Perhaps it’s my fault for trying to keep everyone happy at once and losing sight of things, but in the end it just ends up falling short across the board for all of us. 

Since we’ve had an unfortunate problem with people taking content from us in the past, we’ve closed down the main as well as all the sideblogs and left this message only. I personally don’t want to say goodbye to Idolize forever, and will likely continue puttering around on my kids just plenty, and will be pulling for a revival down the road,  but in the moment I think all your admins just need a break from the Idolize verse, as much as we adore it and all of you. We encourage you to continue writing with one another or to keep in touch with us through discord/etc, and we hope to see your creative minds and muses around krp in the future!

hi! i read that group based soloists are really limited, so how are we supposed to know who gets the solo and who doesn't? is there a page somewhere with voice claims? schedules?

Yes, if you look at the info on any of the group pages that have group based or canon based soloists available, you’ll see who has a solo available, what voice claims they have or can choose from and so forth~ For example, Atlas, Oasis, Imperial, Jawbreaker, etc. If the group your interested in has no group based or canon based solo information, that means it’s not available for that group.

Hello Idols! We’re here today with a few updates. The first of course is that the first of the new SCHEDULES have been posted, which should be pretty exciting! We’re hoping to get our first flash opportunity and panns up sometime this month as well. Additionally, we’re eager to get started with our upcoming summer event, which will likely take place in early August! And, finally, the storylines have been updated! We may yet add a few more as things fill up, but for the time being we hope you find something enjoyable! We’ve also added an updated hiatus rule because we’ve had some concerns brought up to us about that, and you can find the update on the rules page. 

Additionally, we do have a pretty big narrative push coming for POIZN. Given the nebulous status of their discography groups over the past year and the flux that YG is in, we’ve decided on moving forward with an in character plot arc surrounding the group. The two currently unclaimed members will be revealed to sue to end their contracts and leave the company. Over the next month or two, in character, the remaining/current members will be announced to be pursuing solo careers with the company. If those members should drop, we’l just retroactively remove their positions and increase the number of people who walked away from the company, rather than leaving a number of floating soloists in 99. 

To accommodate for this shift in the 99 narrative and to keep the number of available spots towards an even ratio, we’ve added a couple spots to MayDay and Celeste, as well as a new boy group in the 4th generation, Zenith based on Stray Kids, who will be acting as a mid-ground between the sleek and experimental 1nferno and the bright and poppy B.Rite. Zenith will, as a 99 male group, be given a lot of creative control so if you’re interested in that it’s a group to check out! 

Please remember that in character only the members of POIZN and those they might have discussed it with will currently have any idea whats going on with the two NPC members. Otherwise, your muse should get most of their updates formally through narrative pann posts as they’re released!

As a final reminder, we do still have positions open for ChainStation release tracks, so check it out and send in a purchase form if anything fits your character!
