Rewatched Hazbin Hotel (again) and no matter how much I try I still cannot buy the fact that the Angels didn’t know how souls get into heaven.

It makes no sense. The Angels are obsessed with order and rules. They cast down their own kind in a heartbeat for breaking the status quo.

You want me to believe that the second Adam appeared in Heaven the Angels weren’t all over him grilling him over how he got there? That in over 10,000 years, Charlie was the FIRST person to question how souls get to heaven? That the hastily scribbled list from Adam was sufficient enough for them to proceed?

It seemed like a cheap way to make Charlie seem more in the right which kinda irks me since her methods of redeeming sinners were pretty inefficient and well, terrible. Making her appear right when she doesn’t know what she’s doing isn’t really fair.

I’m a big fan of shades of gray in storytelling so my least favorite story device is when one side is written to be more in the right because that’s the side you’re technically supposed to root for. And since the show specifically invokes shades of gray I was hoping for more nuances with Heaven’s position.

I need a specific episode about this in season 2 or I’m really gonna go crazy. What don’t we know, Sera!? Why isn’t everything as we think, SERA!? What are you hiding?!
