Dan Vs was the show ever, honestly. Dan’s second line of dialogue ever was “I don’t care who the IRS sends, I’m not paying taxes”. One of the recurring villains is someone who steals Dan’s identity, choosing Dan as a target because he sucks so much no one would miss him. The one being in the universe that he likes is his cat and he can’t even tell what sex she is. He borrows a shark.

I understand this take but the bigger reasons that I see people (dramatically) react negatively towards Lunter is because;

1) It's 'diminishing Luz's sapphic side/erasing sapphic representation'... even though Luz is canonly biromantic.

2) Luz and Hunter form a close, sibling-like bond— and while that's not inc*st because no canon events contribute to their relation (such as the popularized Camila-adopts-Hunter theories) it's still pretty reasonable that people don't want to ship characters who have a familial bond.

I do mostly agree with the points presented about Huntlow, but I don't think a ship is automatically worse than another just because it doesn't have any story significance or is one of those 'just because' ships. So long as there's nothing immoral about Huntlow, I'd even say it's just as good as any other valid ship in the series, with it's biggest possible fault being bad pacing.

The way the Owl House Fanbase reacts towards Lunter & Huntlow.

A ship should complement the story, but it shouldn't be the main focus or derive the narrative, especially for a character concluding their development arc. (Huntlow)
