Hold on, hold on, I just need to map it all out to understand what the fuck is going on;

1. Two Minecraft YouTubers have a very strong relationship that consists of them flirting; they’re not actually together, but a lot of fans ship them together and they’re okay with this and actually encourage people to make fan art and write fanfictions.

2. A semi-popular indie band releases a song that becomes a hit.

3. A person who ships aforementioned Minecraft YouTubers writes an angsty fanfic of the two of them and bases it on this hit song.

4. The fanfic explodes in popularity among the Minecraft YouTube community. This only adds to the popularity of the song itself, and it becomes more well known.

5. It also becomes so popular that the two Minecraft YouTubers themselves know of it and one of them actually reads it.

6. The indie band discovers that their song has become very popular in the Minecraft community; they follow the two Minecraft YouTubers on Instagram.

7. The two Minecraft YouTubers then begin to continuously reference this fanfiction and cause both the story and the song to become even more popular.

8. One lyric of the song becomes especially notable as time goes on because it references the “middle of June”

9. The middle of June arrives

10. The Minecraft YouTubers tease their fans with Tweets about the middle of June, once again referencing the song and the fanfic.

11. The indie band replies.

12. The indie band releases new merchandise that is based on the Minecraft YouTubers’ fictional relationship and on another Minecraft YouTuber.

13. It’s all connected.

14. The timeline is fucking insane.

Now that I know Sam can put multiple people in Dream’s cell, I want everyone in that one cell. 

Dream is there for server crimes. Techno is there for suspicion of being a Dream Ally. Revivebur and Michael McChill are Dream Apologists. Ranboo, Philza, and Niki tried to break Techno out and got stuck. Tubbo went after Ranboo. Tommy went after Tubbo. Quackity went on his way to torture Dream and it was too crowded to leave. The rest of the Las Nevadas Crew joined, thinking Quackity and Wilbur were there for a reason. Eret and Captain Puffy followed Foolish in. Bad and Ant get imprisoned for egg crimes.

i’m sorry but the fact that ‘goodbye_dream’ and ‘DREAM_OUT’ is trending when people are so quick to say that they don’t like cancel culture and they want to ‘cancel cancel culture’ just shows how fucked up people on twitter are.

you’re supposed to help him grow!!!! you’re supposed to educate him!!! you’re not supposed to bring up old stuff that he has already addressed and apologised for!!! you’re not supposed to fatshame and call someone ugly!!! it’s all the more heart breaking if that boy is actually not him.

i’m just getting so mad as i go through those hashtags. he’s fucking 22, he has so much more to learn, he has so much more time to grow. this is making me realise how freaking hard it is to be someone famous, an influencer, a celebrity, a youtuber now. like how many of those people who are being so freaking brutal have been a bloody saint their whole lives?!

just imagine if you had every wrong thing you’ve done throughout your whole life, stuff that you’ve already realised was a mistake, stuff that you regret, be brought up repeatedly and just getting absolute hate for it, publicly, in front of millions of people.
