Illinois hummed, as he went to hang up his satchel in his office. It was covered in dust, a thin film coating everything, and he supposed it made sense. That’s what happens when one is gone for months on end, hopping from country to country to outcompete some hired assholes hoping to get their hands on the same things he wanted. He had the scars to prove his success, however, as he turned to go sink gratefully into his chair at his desk. Swiping one hand over the table, sending dust into the air, and making his nose crinkle in distaste.

Propping his head up, as he placed his elbow on the desk, he batted his eyes towards his office door. Adjusting his hat up with his other hand.

“Sorry to have been gone so long~ You know how it is, don’t you, Pal~? How’ve you been without me~?”

i KISS!! You should talk about older Illi <3 how he gets as he ages…

Old Illinois:

Around 50-55ish, he can no longer move as he once could. This is due to the extremes he subjected himself to while younger. He is in a constant pain.

Thanks to him being in a constant pain, barely able to move, he needs assistance getting around. Left to his own devices and pride, he will hobble around on his own, with or without a cane to help.

He refuses to quit working, so even though now he can only do research work, he will throw himself into that.

He does, however, become more lax with himself. Wearing more what he wants, eating what he wants. No longer forcing unnecessary sensory torture.

He also is quite the cuddle bug. A sweetheart who would tell you anything you’d like to know, as long as you don’t mind his broken voice and waiting for him to catch it again sometimes.

His hair eventually turns completely white. However, unlike how he usually lets it get long when not adventuring, he cuts it short so it’s easier to care for.
