Life update-New Horizons

Hello my friends, IOL out here with another public diary for anyone who’s still on here lol. I experienced my first breakup last month, which really was a slow burn for me. Me and my ex live together so it’s been kinda hard for me to move on, ya know seeing as we still see each other every day and whatnot. I’ve been looking for a place to rent out for almost two months now and I’ve finally found a crusty ass room (really good deal tho) here in my home town. I move in on the first, and I’m feeling pretty jittery about it. I’ve never completely lived by myself, so it’s gonna be a new challenge. I suck with new things, but life doesn’t care. It throws dogshit at you at every turn, but hey, it also throws miracles and triumphs at you as well. I think it’s gonna take some getting used to but I’m 100% up for the challenge. Well anyways, peace, happy halloween

I know there's been a lot of talk lately about anti-intellectualism and the lack of movies that have souls etc but please don't forget that we also live in the first time in history where just about anyone can create and publish art online. Watch movies posted to directly to YouTube with a thousand views. Read self-published books. Listen to SoundCloud artists. There's a whole world of low budget content out there made solely for the love of art and even if every industry is a capitalist hellscape there will still be people creating art and how lucky are we that we have access to it

open the door

The person stares

… lungs inhale the COLD THIN AIR

Snow punches the eyes in the face, so they shoot them toward the bright grey sky.

they shake. - “let the cold bite you and make you strong”

The person thinks—Finally smokes the burning cig—

About the snow. About the wonderful smiles it gave them as a kid. About the hard obstacles that kid had yet to overcome. About the real dumb worries they had yet to embrace.

they miss this person. But they dont realize that the kid’s still around, playing with decades old toys and watching cartoons in the attic.

The person smokes

they exhale yucky tobacco smoke

inhales the outside once more, before retreating into the temple of glowing screens.

HELLO IT IS I

I know I haven’t been on here as much, been busy. Here’s a bunch of words lol:

I look back on my early posts on this thread, I know they’re sad but I see progress. I’ve changed a lot since my first post on this blog. I started this profile because I was hopeless and painfully lonely. Too lonely. It was killing me from inside and I knew I needed to reach out. So I did. I messaged many people who, like me, posted sad shit. I tried my best to help and listen to them, make them feel a little less lonely, give them a speck of hope. (I still msg ppl sometimes). Point is, I felt better doing what I was doing. It made me happy. Afterwards I met some great friends and got a job. My life started changing for the better, and has been doing so ever since. I am now in a great relationship, something I would literally dream about three years ago. I moved out of my old house and am living on my own, and I have a great job. Life is good.

I’m still going post every now and then, and maybe there’ll be a time where I need an escape, but until then, hope everyone that follows me and literally every living organism that isn’t a dick has a excellent rest of the year🤎
