what is your tokimizu au?

KYA. The AU revolves mizuki who has worked at their company for like 7 years straight Like right out of college And she had a hard time moving up the ranks in the company for multiple reasons (graduated with an unrelated degree, not skilled in math, etc)

her “conflict” is her one sided beef with tokiko who instantly came into the company in a higher position than her Which activates mizukis competitiveness And she tries working extra hard to prove (really only to herself) that she’s worked hard and deserves her position And is better and more awesome and cuter and

tokiko isn’t necessarily actively mean to her or anything It’s mostly in mizukis head. tokiko can sense that mizuki is praying on her downfall though and it ticks her off. Tokiko comes off very negatively Cus it’s just how she is And mizuki amplifies it x100 in her head to feed her Internal one sided beef

tokiko notices that mizuki works extremely hard and actually starts to admire her work ethic and dedication to her job, especially because it’s not something she’s naturally good at but she puts her all into it anyway

in the future mizuki realizes that tokiko isn’t just a Nepotism baby like she thought and she’s actually incredibly skilled and capable at what she does At that point they become closer over their mutual admiration for each othOk i’m kind of word vomiting i will stop

i thought they could be interesting together, especially in this type of scenario! important but unrelated notes about the AU is that:

1. neither of them are really the “boss” of the other, i personally don’t really like that kind of trope ^^’ tokiko is in a higher position but not really in like. A Boss way mizuki just compiles all of the finances and reports it to tokiko to analyze Its a higher paying position so i just refer to it that way

2. it’s not really 100% accurate to real life Probbaly idk it’s all just based on accounting intern work i did one summer Lol sorry

3. They bicker a lot. i skip over it in my AU overview but they won’t get a long for a very long time Just because they’re both too prideful to admit their impressions of each other were wrong. But they still fuck
