hi, so, y'all know me. uhm, my dad's kicking me out; he hasn't given me a notice period, so I don't know if I have hours, days or what. all I know is that me and my animals HAVE to go, and we need money to do so. I set the goal for £3000, only because that amount of money would cover a deposit on a flat, maybe a couple of months of rent, and also likely necessities that we may need such as food, vet bills, etc.

the Gary Lineker situation goes beyond "WELL, HE WAS EMPLOYED AND-" no. it's about censorship. specifically, it's about how the BBC, a supposedly unbiased and impartial media corporation, will silence people who work for them if they disagree with Tory party policies, but will continue to keep people who agree with fascism on their payroll; this isn't just "oh, a football commentator is in trouble at work", this is the effects of how the BBC's claim of impartiality is a fucking lie and further proof that they cannot be trusted to report the news to us when they continuously and consistently say they're impartial yet continue siding with fascists, with the far right and with the tory party.

this isn't a trivial issue, it's not celebrity gossip, it's the very real fact that the BBC are acting like something taken directly from George Orwell's 1984; the BBC is a propaganda machine for the tory party and little more and by censoring Gary Lineker and David Attenborough, they are merely showing what they truly believe in, and it isn't decency or morality. they certainly don't believe in impartiality or free speech.

Imagine "firing" one of the most beloved sports presenters in the country for making accurate and informed comparisons- yanno what it wasn't even a comparison, he said that the language by the government was "not dissimilar to that used by germany in the 30s"- for breaching rules on being impartial (which is stupid anyway he presents MOTD not the fucking News) on social media, but yet letting Alan Sugar (for example) keep The Apprentice even after editing Jeremy Corbyn's face onto actual Hitler.

The BBC don't care about impartiality, they don't care about the welfare of immigrants crossing the channel, nor do they respect the people trying to stand up for them and call the government out. It needs either a complete overhaul or we need to start a new public broadcasting service.
