"First off—since when do you care? Second do I look okay?" Anya snapped back, her heart still racing. She could feel a sheen of sweat coating her body, could feel the dizziness that accompanied the loss of her powers. She was definitely not okay. "I just got jumped by a bunch of black-cloaked gutter ghosts. I'm stuck in the future, my powers are working as well as my papi's record player, and I'm pretty sure you and some megacorp billionaire are my only friends. Which is really stretching the word, to be honest! So, no, I am very much not okay."

She saw Spider-Man's hand move quickly it reached for his face. At first Anya thought he was going to sigh, or complain, or do something equally annoying like before. But no. He seemed to be grabbing his face—his mask. Next thing she knew, he'd yanked it off, and she was staring at Miguel O'Hara's face—the same face of that "megacorp billionaire" she'd just been ripping on. Life was wild, y'all.

"Looks like you only have one friend," Miguel said, a slight smile on his face.

I was thinking when she first got her powers. She's a little bit excited about them and was a little bit of a show off.

Ayna Corazon / Arana grew as a young child in Mexico City. Her dad was a crime reporter for an important newspaper in the city. Her mom is eventually allegedly killed by Mexican gangster Jade for her dad's reporting. Ayna and her father moved to the United States city of New York. Where he got a job as a reporter at The Daily Bugle. Ayna was able to eventually pick up English but she still has a Mexican accent

When Ayna was 15 she was wounded in the cross fire between two secret societies. The spider society and the WASP Society, she was saved form her injury's by Miguel Legar a senior mage of the spider society whom believed Ayna was predestined to be a person of great importance to the spider society.

Miguel became a mentor and eventually partner to Ayna as she took up the role of ' The hunter', one of two magical enhanced protectors for the spider society and all good an innocent peoples against the insidious wasp society.

Through out her training and magical enhancement, Ayna gained most of the powers normally attributed to members of the spider family. Though her ability's were more mystical in nature such as manifesting 'spider armor' and using an enhanced grabbling hook

during the Golden age of crime, Ayna would frequently assonate with two other members of the spider family.
