the point of art is not to be great but to make it transparently obvious that there is something wrong with you

Some of u are soooo spineless when it comes to the use of AI generated images in media like am I genuinely seeing ppl get mad that ppl don’t want to see late night with the devil bc they used AI generated art for “just a few interstitials”. Like. I get that some people like to blow things wildly out of proportion but where do u draw the line. “It’s only a couple interstitials, grow up!!!” Ok. What happens when it’s more than “a couple.” Where’s the line. Do u not care bc it’s a movie you wanted to see? Thousands of people are being laid off in every creative industry in the world right now. But it’s only a couple interstitials. Until it’s not. Like I get it I don’t want to be the spoil sport here but if you can’t inconvenience yourself for once and *checks notes* not watch a movie, then why do you get to care that someone else got upset that they bought a ticket before knowing AI was used and feel like they were lied to? But it’s only a couple interstitials. Right. Christ.

cal: “oh, i have psychometry”
luke, nodding sagely, projecting wisdom: “of course.”
luke, sprinting out of the room, already on force ghost speed dial: “hello, what the fuck is a psychology”

I don’t care whether you like rooster teeth or not the idea of deleting 21 years of media should be incredibly concerning
