Until a random stakeout/confrontation with a villain/league meeting, he remembers suddenly and just straight up goes

“I birthed you”

He then starts to think back to all the other women he helped and like...

– Teenage Bruce stopping in the middle of his day to help Mary Grayson call the hospital when her water breaks in public

– His first test of people skills as Batman is looking after Sandra Wu-San, not knowing she'd become Lady Shiva

– A short while later Batman does the same for Sheila Haywood because Willis didn't bother to show up

– Arthur Brown being too absorbed in his scandals and early scheming to be present so Batman swoops in for Crystal

– Then Janet Drake going into labor at a Wayne gala and Bruce helping her through that

– Couple years later, Batman keeping Elaine Thomas company in the twilight hours

– He stops to help Talia amidst a dangerous battle, not knowing the baby is his and her maintaining the secret

– He gets sidetracked on a time travel mission and assists a stranger, not realizing it's Mary Pennyworth

Sneak peek at the fic I’m working on rn

It’s already longer than my two horizon fics put together. 2k and I’m not even done. Sneak peek below the cut so I don’t take over your dash board.

“You need to come see something. Now.” And with that Tim whipped around and marched back the way he came. Bruce quickly followed. He had long since learned to listen when to Tim, as he typically had good reason for his demands. Tim led him to one of the dens. This one was favored most by the family, frequently used in game and movie nights. A quick glance around told Bruce that Tim had been using it to edit the photos he was still so fond of taking, because apparently living with Batman and Robin wasn’t enough.

His eyes turned to the TV, as Tim made no indication that it was his laptop he should be looking at. It was turned to the news, likely acting as background noise previously. On it was displayed a fight occurring in another city against some robot. But seeing who was fighting the robot made him frown.

“What is Dick’s team doing there? They haven’t been cleared for the field yet!” He watched in worry as the young hero’s dealt with the robot. Or at least tried to

Actually, his kids causing chaos in his home is calming to Bruce:

There are here, he can see them and hear them, so they are safe. They aren't on the other side of the planet, or the universe, fighting who knows who, and making sure Batman cannot find them. Not knowing where his children are is the most stressful thing ever for Bruce.

If they have the energy to be chaotic at home with each others, that means that Gotham and the world is calm, things are getting better. When they are dealing with a case, they all are very invested in it and wouldn't have time or the mental energy to start shit with their siblings.

No silence. Bruce grew up in a silent empty manor, he doesn't stand his home being silent because it reminds him of how lonely he was. The absence of silence in his home tells him that everything is fine, he has a family, he isn't alone anymore, he is happy. Also, if the house is silent, it means they are planning something that Bruce will not approve, and he will stress as he tries to find out what is it (There're WAY more chances it's because they are doing something dangerous and reckless than because they are planning his birthday)

He loves his children being gremlins. He was proud of Tim when he learnt about the fake uncle. He gave one look at Cass who couldn't communicate and was doing whatever she wanted, being a lil weirdo, and immediately thought she was perfect. Jason stole the Batmobile's tires, hit Batman and "insulted" him, which is crazy, and Bruce loved it. This man lives for the weird shenanigans his kids are doing. Finally, he isn't the only insane one around here.

Imagine a timeline where Tim has just had a fight with Bruce over his safety and gets benched.

He's still pissed so he decides to do some detective work on his own without Bruce knowing. He finds out that Jason's grave has been disturbed and doesn't want to tell Bruce because;

A) Bruce is in a really fragile state as is due to Jason's death and he doesn't want to worsen the situation.

B) he doesn't think Bruce is going to be able to see this through without letting his emotions in the way, so he decides to investigate on his own.

He's benched for a few months so he has plenty of time to prepare, keep his head down around B and say that he's focusing on school to get him, Alfred, Barbara and Dick off his back.

He gets a lead to the League of Assassins and the next thing you know, he has a missing spleen, and has somehow acquired three siblings.

Jason who was somehow back from the dead, Cass who was training in the league under her father and decides to help Tim because he's honest, and Damian who is three but is already being trained to kill.

I think I might write this as a fic later, lmao.

Time Travel AU: Timothy "Trash" Drake Edition

Tim, to save his family and the world, travels back to when he was a kid. Considering the super powerful shadow organizations that are trying to take over the world (and to prevent his family from becoming targets [or he doesn't trust them. Your pick]), he elects to take on a persona:

Timothy "Trash" Drake.

Instead of the kind, charming, intelligent kid he used to be, Tim methodically mucks up his reputation. He's an asshole, he's self-important, and he's like a typical Gotham Socialite but worse. By 16, he's practically a drunk idiot who's only passing school by the Drake name. He's like Brucie Wayne, but he's hated instead of being a loveable fool.

In the background, he's subtly saved people from their tragic events in the timeline. Drake industries has been booming (try as he might, he couldn't save his parents and became the CEO at 16 as an emancipated minor), and a lot of their funds goes towards better wages and benefits for their employees. Continually, they spend a lot on Gotham infrastructure and social programs. This doesn't match the CEO's arrogant, asshole, and greedy ways. Most assume he's just a figurehead anyway.

The important part to note is that the Waynes hate interacting with him and have a strong dislike for him. They don't know that his demeanor is a persona. Jason, in particular, hates his frivolous, wasteful guts.

Tim has been somewhat successful in mitigating the shadow organization's plans and stopping the world from ending. He's still got a few plans in the works, but he's overall satisfied by what he's accomplished.

Issues start to arise when the Waynes notice contradictions in Timothy Drake's behavior.

Timothy is an asshole who only cares about himself, so why did he give away his coat to someone in need? Sure, he complained that it was of poor quality and not to his standards, but he could've just thrown it away.

Someone else notices that he crashes into the champagne tower when someone was getting harassed at a gala. It was supposedly an accident, but the person was able to get away from the harassment.

Timothy also slapped a homophoic asshole when he kept going on and on about their prejudice. The kid played it off as him being mad at them for stealing his look, but are all of these incidents coincidences?

The final nail in the coffin? Cass goes to her first gala where Tim in in attendance (he has purposefully avoided anywhere she would be). She takes one glance at him, smiles, and then softly says, "Little Brother."

Safe to say everyone promptly looses their shit.
