A very late (or very early) fic writing update:

I started editing...which says nothing about having finished writing it. We are arriving at 11k and I had to fix a couple of things that I was changing. During my editing I realized that this will probably go faster if I actually start posting.

Originally I wanted the fic to be a one-shot, but it works cut into parts as well. And I already found where the first part would end.

I do have to go into work tomorrow but I'm hoping I can get the first part of it posted before I have to go. It's literally a matter of giving it a title. I'll tag anyone that liked/reblogged/commented on any of the posts about this fic when I start posting.

So, when Buck followed behind Chim and Eddie onto the tarmac of LAFD Harbor station air operations, the worry in his gut growing and growing the more he thought about Bobby and Athena being unreachable and Hen being correct about the need to go out and rescue them, he didn’t expect to meet his soulmate. 

In the books, it never described what it was like. It only said that you would know it if it happened to you. The book was right. 

Buck knew it the moment their eyes met.

I've been trying to get my parents (really my dad because I know he'd like it) to watch Black Sails for years. I even had Starz for a time to watch Outlander and they watched like one episode and then gave up on it.

But they decided to give it a second chance now it's on Netflix. And they started it last night and it's almost 2am and one of them left their room and I heard that distinct opening credit music so I am validated in knowing they were gonna like it.

I mean truly, once you give Black Sails a try there is no reason not to just love it.

just to be clear Oliver never in any way, shape, or form has confirmed as of today that buddie was supposed to go canon in s4 or that they were having an 'oh' moment during the shooting arc or otherwise at any time or that Buck has been in love (?!?) with Eddie since he joined the 118.

all he said was; there was a pitch about the bi Buck storyline in s4 that got shot down (at whatever stage we don't even know, there might not even have been a single scene written for it, for all we know) and that in retrospect and considering the slow-mo and the music in the scene, Buck was possibly confused about his feelings around Eddie when he joined the team — which is something Tim has already talked about before.

please stop acting like the conclusions you're jumping onto are facts or canon — even if the shooting was meant to be an 'it' moment, it didn't end up happening in canon so, as interesting out-of-universe info this is, it doesn't have an affect on the in-universe canon at the moment.

and I promise, I'm not saying all this because I hate fun, hell, not even because I necessarily disagree. only because I can already see this leading into Oliver and the cast being harassed in case the show doesn't end up confirming these ideas that are currently being passed around as cold hard facts.
