Harley: How many people were you with before me?
Peter: Uh, do you want a real answer or a answer that makes you feel better about yourself?
Harley: uh...a real one.
Peter: Okay, 6 people. First, there was Harry, which you know, then MJ, then Gwen, then that one summer with Flash, which I don’t really want to get into. Then -
Harley: I don’t want to know anymore

the thing about gum
boom, look at me, already finished with 3 out of 50, only 25 days left hahaha(haha, i’m crying on the inside)hahaha.
Warnings: mild mature language.
Harley likes a lot of things about Peter. Really, he likes everything about Peter. His smile, for one. And his laughs, the one he does when he’s happy, and the one that erupts from him when Harley says some stupid thing that Peter finds hilarious, and all the others.
He likes the way that Peter’s nose scrunches up when he’s trying not to laugh, and the way that his eyes crinkle at the sides when he’s really happy.
He likes how Peter does terrible impressions and accents but thinks he’s great at it.
He likes the fact that Peter Parker is a good person—like, a genuinely good person, something that’s hard to find—and is willing to help anyone who needs it, no matter the cost to himself.
He likes how selfless Peter is, and how short he is and how much he hates it when Harley mentions it.
And Harley really, really, really likes the way that Peter chews gum.
God, it’s weird even thinking it.
Of all the things that Harley likes about Peter, he likes the way he chews gum the most, and that’s.
What the fuck.
It’s just, it’s something about the way Peter’s jaw moves. It clenches and shifts and Harley’s already a little obsessed with Peter’s jawline—ugh, his jawline—and whenever he chews gum it’s because he needs to focus on something, so he gets the cutest line in between his eyebrows and his entire face scrunches up as he chews the gum almost absently. And Peter likes to blow bubbles with his gum, make it snap in his mouth, and Harley…
He likes it, okay.
He creeps himself out with all the thoughts running through his head, but he can’t help it. It feels like he likes and is attracted to everything Peter does. And it’s crazy.
But it’s also really great, he thinks to himself as he watches Peter from his seat across the classroom.
AP Chem is the only class that Harley has with Peter. If he was smarter, they probably would’ve had more classes together, but Harley’s only skill, apparently, is chemical reactions.
Anyway, it’s their only class together, and they used to sit by each other but, according to Ms. Farrel, Harley “distracts and is distracted by Peter much too often” which he thinks is ridiculous. It’s not his fault Peter laughs, adorably, at everything Harley says, no matter how stupid it is.
Ms. Farrel separated them, moving Peter to sit with some kid (Harley thinks his name is Doug or something equally as stupid). Well, joke’s on Ms. Farrel—Harley still yells across the room to talk to Peter.
He’s pretty sure Ms. Farrel hates him.
She moved Harley to sit as far away from Peter as possible, which turned out to be next to a girl, Kara, who is actually pretty nice but she’s not Peter.
Nobody is Peter.
“Are you, like, obsessed with Peter or something?”
Harley shifts his gaze away from Peter to look at Kara, who’s studying him and looking vaguely creeped out.
“What?”
“Are you obsessed with Peter?” she repeats.
“I heard you I just–” He cuts off, shaking his head. “What kinda question is that?”
“A legitimate one,” Kara answers, turning in her seat a little to face Harley. “You’re always - staring at him. Like, all the time.”
“Shut up, I don’t stare,” Harley hisses, suddenly extremely glad that their “desks” are lab benches that only fit two people, and the benches are separated enough so that the possibility of someone overhearing what is shaping up to be a very embarrassing conversation.
Kara gives him a look. “You don’t have to deny it. I know the truth.”
Harley furrows his eyebrows. “What truth?”
“That you like him,” she responds, sounding like she hasn’t just turned Harley’s entire world around, because, fuck, he really likes Peter.
“I don’t like Peter,” Harley protests weakly, head spinning.
He does. He really, really does. He thought that he just liked things about Peter because they were friends. But, no. Harley likes Peter as more than a friend, and that explains why he’s probably so, for lack of a better word, obsessed with the things he does.
It’s like having a celebrity crush, but the crush isn’t a celebrity.
Kara shrugs, returning her attention to the worksheet they’re supposed to be working on. “Sure, whatever you say.”
Harley scowls as they fall back into silence, the rest of the class talking around them, and goes back to working on the worksheet in front of him. There’s an itch in the back of his mind, one that’s urging him to look up at Peter, to catch his eye, to yell something out across the room. But he doesn’t.
Kara’s words have made him unsure. Does he stare at Peter all the time?
It’s not like he tries to stare. Peter is just… a really nice person to look at. And it’s not even because of his looks. Not totally because, anyway. Peter is cute, Harley will admit that, but Harley mostly looks because Peter is constantly in motion and Harley wants to catch all of his movements.
“You don’t like him, right?” Kara asks from his left, voice too casual to mean anything good. He grits his teeth and doesn’t answer, the words on his paper going out of focus. Kara takes that as affirmation. “So what if I told you that Drew is getting pretty close to him right now?”
Harley’s head snaps up before she finishes her sentence.
Drew. That’s the kid’s name.
It’s such a stupid name, more stupid than Doug, and Harley hates it.
He hates it because Drew is most likely saying something stupid and there Peter is, chewing his gum and laughing the laugh that Harley thought was reserved for him and him alone.
Something simmers beneath the surface of his skin, something that feels like anger but isn’t. He knows it’s not anger because Harley had felt anger and this isn’t it. This is a feeling that churns his stomach and makes a lump rise in his throat like he’s going to cry, and he doesn’t know what it is.
“Hey, Peter,” he calls out, hoping his voice doesn’t sound as strangled as he thinks it does. Peter turns around, a grin forming on his face and his eyes crinkling at the sides, and Harley is wrapped up in the unnamed feeling and his feelings for Peter that he does the stupidest thing he’s done in a long time. “D'you wanna go out with me?”
He regrets the words almost as soon as they leave his mouth, but he can’t take them back and he feels slightly good about the glare Drew is shooting him.
Peter’s face goes from grinning to shock and surprise and then back to grinning, even wider than he was before.
“Like a date?” Peter calls back, and Harley is extremely happy at the way Drew’s glare strengthens.
“Yeah,” he says, eyes cataloguing Peter’s expression to forever imprint it in his mind. “Like a date.”
Peter nods, a little eager. “Yeah, Harls. I’d like that.”
“Okay.”
Peter’s grin widens even more, so much so that just looking at it hurts Harley’s cheeks, and for just a second the entire room narrows down. For just a second, it’s just him and Peter smiling at each other, the noise of the classroom forgotten.
And then Kara speaks.
“I knew you liked him.”
“Shut up.”

you're acting like you're dying
my motivation, inspiration, and overall creativity are at their lowest, so I'm sorry for whatever this is.
i've never gotten a splinter before, but I have (accidentally) stapled my finger to a sheet of paper, so I'm assuming that the experiences are, at least somewhat, similar?
note: the only experience I have with kissing is with guys, and I hated it so much, it was disgusting, so the kiss in this is pretty much Not Good (like it's good for Harley and Peter, but the description of the actual act is terrible).
Warnings: minor blood and injury (it's legit just a splinter).
Peter likes to think that he has a pretty strong set of instincts. Sure, the Spidey-sense is part of it, but that’s for potentially dangerous situations. Peter is talking about everyday situations. You know. Regular, easy things that have close to no impact on his physical state of health.
Peter’s gut tells him what to do, and he does it, simple as that. (And maybe it’s a part of him worried that his ‘gut’ is really just his Spidey-sense at a more casual level, but no one has any proof and he’s never admitting to it.)
So when Harley stops him outside of school and asks him for help building the new bed frame they just got for Abby and Peter’s entire body screams at him to say no, he asks no questions. Doesn’t even hesitate in his response.
(The response isn't a good one, mind you, but it was fast, so.)
“I, uh, can’t,” he says lamely, knowing that Harley is seeing right through him but not caring because he’s too busy wondering why, exactly, he shouldn’t help his friend out. What harm comes with building a bed frame?
Harley arches a brow, the wind whipping his hair around his face. “Why not?”
“I… have stuff to do?”
“Like what?”
And Peter should’ve expected this. He really should’ve expected this. Peter literally does the same thing every day, with little to no changes. He likes routines, okay, no one can judge him for it.
The problem, however, with following a specific routine is that everybody that knows Peter knows his routine. Which means that Harley knows that Peter has literally nothing to do except study for the Spanish test tomorrow—which means no patrolling, as per the terms with Aunt May—and even then he doesn’t have to be at the apartment until five, to give him time to hang out with his friends. MJ and Ned both have plans, and Harley doesn’t, so it's the logical conclusion to come to that Peter would be free to help out with something.
Despite knowing all of that, Peter searches his brain for an excuse but comes up empty. He lets out a heavy sigh—he’s always sucked at lying, especially to the people he cares about. “What time do you want me to come over?” he asks, ignoring the way his heart flutters at Harley’s answering grin.
“Now is fine,” he tells Peter, grabbing his arm and tugging him in the direction of the Keener apartment.
Peter is so going to regret this.
~
Peter, like always, is right. He is so freaking right. He’s so right that left doesn't even exist.
He groans out in pain as he leans back against the wall, raising his left hand up to cover his eyes and leaving his injured hand down at his side.
“I knew it,” he mutters to himself, desperately trying to ignore the sharp pain shooting through his hand, starting at the pad of the ring finger on his right hand and traveling downwards. “I knew this was only going to end badly.”
“Peter, you're acting like you’re dying,” Harley says, and Peter knows, he knows, that he’s rolling his eyes. “C’mon, you big baby, let me see.”
“I am not a baby, Harley, it hurts, what do you want me to do!”
He hears Harley step closer so he moves his left hand away from his eyes. And then Harley is standing right in front of him, staring down at his right hand and studying it intently.
His eyes shift up to Peter’s. “I’m gonna try and fix it, okay?” he asks softly, glancing back down at Peter’s hand. "Try not to move too much."
Peter immediately lifts his right hand to cradle it against his chest, shielding it from Harley and trying to avoid messing it up even further. “No,” he says hurriedly, shaking his head with his eyes wide. “It’s fine, I’ll deal with it. I am so good, you don’t need to fix anything.”
Harley gives him a look that somehow conveys both worry and a you’re an idiot kind of vibe—it’s a look that Harley is very famous for, in Peter’s opinion—and takes a step forward. "Just, take a deep breath or something."
And then he touches Peter's injured finger, and Peter swears he dies.
"That hurts, Harls," Peter whines as his finger throbs. He shifts away from Harley. "Don't touch it."
"I'm gonna have to touch it if you wanna fix it," Harley protests, reaching for Peter's finger again.
"Harley, I will scream if you touch me."
"Oh, yeah? And who's gonna hear you, dumbass?"
"This is why that girl said you give off a creepy vibe, you know that, right?"
"Guess it's a good thing it's not girls I'm lookin' to impress, ain't it. Now give me your fucking finger."
"No," Peter hisses. "I'll just go to the hospital or something."
Harley stares for one second, and then two, and then three. And then he's reaching a hand up to pinch the bridge of his nose.
"Peter, why would you go to the hospital over a fucking splinter?"
"People do it all the time, okay, it's not weird."
"Yes it is!" Harley shouts throwing his arms up. His jaw sets. "Just let me take it out and we can move on with our lives."
"What if I want it in?" Peter asks desperately. He knows it's just a piece of wood in his finger, but it hurts, and he doesn't want Hardly to touch it. He's pretty sure his finger has already healed itself around the wood, so taking it out would probably hurt even more.
Harley sighs. Looks at Peter. Sighs again. "I don't know why I–" He cuts off with another sigh.
"Why you what?" Peter asks, eyebrows furrowing.
Harley meets his eyes, stares for a few seconds, and then shakes his head.
And then he's surging forward, closing most of the small amount of space between them and pressing his lips to Peter's.
Peter melts into the kiss, Abby's lavender walls fading away into the background and his arms moving to meet Harley's in the space between them. Harley's lips are a little chapped, but Peter is too wrapped up in the fact that Harley is kissing him to care. It's somehow both soft and heated at the same time, like Harley has waited for this moment for so long but wants to savor it now that it's finally happening. That's what it feels like for Peter, anyway.
His head snaps back at the sharp pain in his finger, banging against the wall. He opens his eyes to see Harley wincing, and he looks down at their hands. Harley is holding the small, thin piece of wood in his hand, and there's a drop of blood beginning to form on Peter's ring finger.
Peter thinks his heart would be sinking in disappointment if it weren't for the way Harley's staring at him.
"There," Harley says, voice low and gravely, his accent coming out the slightest bit more than he usually does. "'S all fixed up now."
Peter watches as Harley tosses the piece of wood off to the side, and he looks back up to Harley's face to see that his eyes never looked away.
Heart pounding, Peter asks, "Why'd you do that?"
Harley gives him the customary you're an idiot look. "You're an idiot," he says out loud. But then he's moving closer. "But I'd really like it if you were my idiot."
And, yeah. That sounds good to Peter.

#71 parkner with some irondad :)
71 – “My parents are coming over in 10 minutes so please put some clothes on”
I changed the prompt just a little bit but yk.
Junior Prom is a disaster for them, not that they’re really surprised. Most times they hang out outside of the safety of their homes.
It starts with Harley’s suit pants being too short so his ankles are showing and not in a good way. From there, the night just gets worse.
Peter loses his tie which matches opposite to Harley’s and he ends up having to put on one that doesn’t match. Happy has a security emergency, so they lose their ride to school. They end up having to take the city bus in their suits, which leads to Peter jumping off the bus to catch a man who’d stolen a lady’s purse, which unfortunately leads to the bus drenching him when it drives away through a puddle.
Harley gets off at the next stop, and meets him halfway, a sympathetic smile on his face when he sees Peter’s curling hair and white button-down going see through, clinging to his skin, jacket and pants dripping on the sidewalk.
“I got twelve dollars,” Peter says, holding up the cash. “The lady wanted to pay me for getting her purse back, gave me the little bit of cash she was carrying. Now we can get a snack at the prom.”
And Harley draws Peter into his arms, not minding getting his own suit wet. “It’s up to you, honey. We can just go home, call it a night. I know you didn’t want to go to this at all.”
But Peter’s determined to make an appearance. He promised Ned, after all.
So they go.
Damp and uncomfortable and suit’s unmatching, they go to the prom, walking all the way down to the school.
Ned meets them at the door, fedora crooked on his head, and immediately takes them both to get punch.
They make it through all of one song, dancing with Ned, MJ, and Betty, before Flash, Brad, and a group of boys accompanied by very bored looking girls.
The teasing starts almost immediately. Peter’s hair, their suits, Harley’s pants, their dancing, coming to prom together.
Harley gets angry, he always gets angry when Peter’s involved. He shoves in front of Peter, squaring his shoulders and shoving Brad back a step.
“Leave us alone,” he says, keeping one arm out to keep Peter behind him. “We just want to enjoy the prom.”
Brad goes to push Harley back, but Mister Harrington pushes through the crowd to get to them, grabbing Brad by the back of his jacket and hauling him backwards.
“Everyone relax! Not tonight, boys. Let everyone enjoy their night for once. Leave each other alone or I’ll kick you both out.”
Harley doesn’t move, staying firmly in front of Peter, glaring Brad and the others down.
But after a second, Brad steps back and shrugs. “Fine. Have your night. But this isn’t over.”
As soon as they disappear back into the crowd and Mister Harrington gives them one final warning before leaving them as well, Harley deflates.
“I knew this was a bad idea,” Peter says, frowning up at his boyfriend. “We shouldn’t have come here. The tie and your pants and the bus, they were all omens about how awful this night would go.”
Harley slides his arms around his boyfriend’s waist, gently swaying them to the music. “It doesn’t have to be a bad day just because some things went wrong. We can still enjoy the night.”
“I’m going to spend the whole night looking over my shoulder waiting for Brad or Flash to do something stupid or mock us or make us feel unwanted here,” Peter explains quietly, tucking himself close to the older boy as they sway. “If it’s alright with you, I kinda wanna go home and get out of these clothes and just watch movies. This was fun and all but…”
Smiling sweetly, Harley nods. “Sure, darling. Let’s go home.”
They say their goodbyes to Ned and MJ, the rest of the Academic Decathlon, and to Mister Harrington before they finally stumble out of the gym.
“I wasn’t going to say anything because I though you wanted to be there, but that was pretty gross in there. Sweaty teenagers dancing in a very small gym… Not exactly my scene. And these shoes are really starting to hurt.”
Peter laughs and intertwines their fingers together as they start back towards the tower. “Just as long as you promise we don’t have to take the bus home.”
* When they get back home, Harley immediately heads for his room, the one they normally share despite Tony’s constant complaining, stripping of his damp suit jacket and starting on his buttons.
“Street water is gross. I feel like I smell like a dumpster,” Harley says.
“Trust me, I would know what a dumpster smells like, I’ve spent a lot of time in dumpsters while patrolling, you smell much better than a dumpster.” Peter starts pulling off his clothes too, needing to get out of the uncomfortable suit and into dry, clean pyjamas.
But as soon as Harley’s stripped down to his boxers, a pair of Spider-Man ones that Peter got him as a gag gift, he falls into bed face-first.
“I wanna sleep for like a hundred years. Who would’ve thought that Junior Prom would take so much outta a guy.”
Peter laughs and shoves off his socks before falling into bed with his boyfriend, putting his head down on Harley’s chest when he rolls to accommodate for Peter. Harley’s arm slides under his waist, holding Peter against him in an almost protective grip, free hand sliding up into Peter’s hair, gently pulling at his curls to get it out off the gel.
“I should inform you that Boss has been notified of your arrival and is on his way up to see you both,” FRIDAY says.
Quickly, Peter’s shoving himself out of Harley’s grip, scrambling to get out of the bed and for his clothes.
“Hurry up,” Peter says, throwing Harley’s shirt at his head. “Mister Stark’s coming over in ten minutes so please put on some clothes. The last thing I need is for him to get the wrong idea.”
Harley laughs, tugging his shirt on and reaching for a pair of pyjama pants, but he doesn’t get far enough before the door’s being opened.
“It’s not what it looks like!” Peter shouts, panicked and fumbling to get his shirt on straight. “There was a bus and-”
Tony rolls his eyes, sighing harshly. “You know what, I don’t want to know.”
He’s about to back out of the room when Peter finally manages to get his shirt straight and his pyjama pants tied, and he grabs Tony by the shirt sleeve. “I promise it’s not what it looked like. We got splashed by a bus on the way to the prom and then-”
Laughing, Tony pats Peter’s shoulder. “It’s fine, kid. Don’t freak the fuck out. Just get dressed and come tell me all about prom with some pizza, yeah?”
As soon as the door shuts behind Tony, Harley starts laughing sitting back down on the bed. “You sounded so flustered. Even if we were-”
“Don’t say it!” Peter shouts, hands covering his ears.
Harley laughs a little harder, corners of his eyes crinkling and arms wrapping around his stomach. “You’re such a child, you know that? You won’t even let me say the word s-”
“Harley! No!”
“Fine, alright, I won’t say it. You’re just cute, that’s all. Tony isn’t going to throw you out for getting changed behind a closed door.”
Peter finally smiles, dropping his hands from his ears. He’s flushed, averting his eyes. “Sorry for freaking out a little bit.”
“Let’s just get out there and calmly explain to Tony what happened,” Harley says, standing to link their fingers together. “We’ve had a pretty interesting night.”
Shoulders slumping in relief, Peter nods. “Yeah. What a night. You think Senior Prom will be worse?”
“With us? You never know.”

182. “Don’t you get it? It’s because I love you!” With Parkner please?
“How could you have done something so stupid?!” Peter threw his hands up in the air.
Harley looked up from the disassembled suit pieces he was holding in his hand. “I’m sorry for trying to save you!”
“I didn’t need saving!” Peter’s voice sounded like it was on the verge of breaking.
Harley gestured towards the bandages wrapped around Peter’s bare chest. “Your injuries clearly say otherwise.”
“You have no training. You didn’t even make it back with an intact suit!”
Harley threw the suit on the table, walking closer to Peter. “I couldn’t let you go alone.”
“You could have gotten hurt!” The two of them continued to raise their voices, the sounds echoing off the walls of the lab.
“If I didn’t come, you would have been worse.”
“I do this alone. I won’t let anyone put themselves in danger for me.” The words were harsh and cutting and Harley winced at how cold Peter sounded.
“And what if I want to?”
“Why? Why do you want to? It’s too dangerous.” Peter’s voice dimmed, confusion and anguish clear on his face as he tried to understand why Harley kept throwing himself in danger for him.
“Don’t you get it?” Harley moved closer, looking straight into Peter’s eyes. “I did it because I love you Peter Parker, and I don’t want to see if you get hurt when I know I could stop it.”
Peter froze as he processed what Harley said. “You-”
Harley laughed, but it was hollow. “You don’t need to say anything.” Then quieter. “I can’t believe I said that.” He tilted his head down, looking anywhere but at Peter.
Peter paused for a few seconds more. Then he took a step forward, closing the space between them and pressing a light kiss to Harley lips. “I love you too.”
Harley took in a sharp breath. ‘You- what?”
Peter repeated the words. “I love you. And that’s why I care so much. I want you safe.” The new revelation only made Peter’s pleading more raw. He wasn’t going to let himself lose this before he even really got it.
“And I want you safe.” Harley wrapped an arm around Peter’s waist, careful not to put pressure on the bandages. “You need to let me protect you the way you protect me.”
Peter didn’t say anything for a while, letting the room fade into a tense silence before eventually letting out a sigh. “Ok. But you’re going to train and if you go out, we go out together.”
Harley smiled. “I’m ok with that.”
“Good.” Peter smiled back, the two of them staying there, holding each other.
