“Why would you even think that??” Tarrai asks him, incredulous.
He doesn’t respond immediately, the telepathic channel eerily quiet.
The Seviper huffs. “I don’t know who made you think that you’re not a good person, but whoever it was is gonna get stabbed.”
“...........you did, Tarrai.” He responds, the thought quiet in her headspace.
Her expression shifted so violently, you’d think she had been stabbed. “I......what. How? When? What did I say?”
“I’m....never mad. I’ve never been mad about being here. It doesn’t make sense. You’re always mad about being here and....you should be. So because I’m not that must mean-”
She cuts him off with a hiss. “No. Stop right there. If you’re even THINKING about saying you deserve this then you’re dead. Wrong.”
“But........I was pompous. I went on and on about how strong I was. I was practically asking her to single me out.”
“Shut up, Goldie. You liked fighting. You were good at it. So what? There’s no reason anyone should be punishing you for that. Most Pokemon are like that!”
“We’ve been over this before, Goldie. If I didn’t want to talk to you, I wouldn’t. I’d just simmer by myself and be mad all the time. I’d be stubborn and just not talk to anyone at all.”
He sighs. “.......yeah. You would.”
“You....you make this place bearable, alright? You’re a good person and you’re my favorite person.” It’s clear in her tone she’s not particularly confident, reassuring him. Not because she doesn’t believe it, more that she’s worried her words are the wrong ones. “You’re allowed to cope with all this nonsense however you want.”
But he lets out a light laugh, and her nervousness fades. “Thanks, Tarrai. I....you’re my favorite person, too.”
He can’t see it, but Tarrai smiles impossibly wide at that. “Heh. Dork.”
He chuckles at that. His frown returns soon after, though. “Hey, I’m....gonna take a nap. Do you mind?”
“Oh, uh, not at all. Sleep is important and you don’t get enough of it.”
“Yeah........I’ve looked at my reflection in the water sometimes and its....not pretty. My eyebags are huge.”
“Man, definitely just go pass out. I’ll keep the guests and whatever occupied.”
He frowns a bit more at that. “Really? Are you...are you sure? I know they haven’t been...very nice to you so far.”
“Psh, nothing I can’t handle, Goldie. Go sleep.”
“.......thanks Tarrai.”
And with that, the channel blips into quiet, and the Seviper sighs to herself.
Goldie is no longer available for asks.

She looks genuinely confused at the accusation. “I wasn’t like this when I got caught, you know. I was just a fourteen-year-old who was a little over-confident. And that’s literally a terrible reason to put someone in jail. All of us are here for the sole reason that we’re Psuedomews, and all of us were born that way, so it’s not like we can help it! What, I happened to be a talented Psuedomew kid and that warrants this nonsense? No! It’s ridiculous and unfair! And I’m gonna be as mad about it as I want!”
Goldie gives a small affirmative noise, but doesn’t add anything else.

She also seems to be ignoring Goldie’s comment. “‘Wow, it sure must suck to have spent more than half your life in the Tower of Pointless Punishment for no good reason! Goldie is quiet for a moment before replying. “...yeah, it is kind of rude when you put it that way...”

“He might already know. They were talking to him before us.” The Seviper points out.
“Maybe...uh, the answer is no. Anthony kept trying to add her to our telepathic channels but she always left, always without a word.” Goldie replied. “It’s been a bit hard to make escape plans because of her, from what Anthony says. If we had everyone’s help, we might’ve been able to get out already. Or at least make a solid attempt.”
“I hate her.”
Goldie doesn’t reply.
“She’s selfish, not helping us. It’s like she doesn’t even care about the rest of us suffering here.” She hisses with contempt. “What does she think, that because she’s been here the longest that gives her the right to disregard our pain?!”
“You guys, pass that along to her if you get the chance! I want her to know that’s she’s no better than that monster Mew!!” She spits.
Tarrai and Goldie’s refs are unlocked.

She holds up the candy gem closer to the Lunala. “It’s not a real crystal, it’s a candy. It’s…made out of sugar? Really sweet stuff, never had it before. It’s….good.” She explains. She genuinely seems less nervous now. “I’d offer this one to you so you can try candy too, but…this one’s mine. You can probably find some around here if you look. I think giving out candy is part of this holiday.”
Corym chooses this moment to reappear.
The Zangoose looks around. “When did…when did you have time for that?”
“Just now! Someone was leaving the event so I asked if I could have their candy. I was originally just going to get some for you, but it seems like they’ve never had candy before either! So feel free to grab some, friend!” Says the Altaria, leaning out towards the Lunala with a wide grin.

She seems to be panicking, despite how hard she wants not too. Just her luck that the first Pokemon she’d run into was someone she’d met as a Mew. “I-I’m just, uh, uh, um, n-nervous? B-because, of, uh-”
Luckily the Altaria cuts in to save her. “What my partner means to say is that she doesn’t attend these kinds of things too often and she’s worried about making a bad impression. She’s got really bad social anxiety.”
The Zangoose jumps on the excuse immediately, both because she’s grateful for the save and also because it wasn’t technically a lie. “Y-yes! Yes, exactly! I’m......not good in these kinds of situations so I’m a bit out of my depth right now.”

“But...but what if someone recognizes me?” The Zangoose weakly argues.
The Altaria gives a small frown, invisible underneath the pumpkin. “No one will recognize you like this. Just try to relax, socialize a bit. Please? I won’t leave your side, I promise.”
Her gaze falls, but she takes a deep breath. A bit of the tension in her shoulders subsides. “...ok. I still feel a bit awkward without a costume or something.”
Corym gives a light laugh. “Aren’t you in costume by default? We both are.”
