My name is Erin, I'm 32, disabled physically and mentally. I'm autistic and a butch lesbian living in the deep south in a homophobic Baptist mainly place.

I get SSI but most of it goes to my abusive grandma who demands it due to us being allowed to live with her, rest goes to doctor or therapist I must see.

Grandma does not allow us to eat, use or touch anything of hers she doesn't want us to taint it with our corruption and vile souls. She has anger issues and strikes out easily, she abused my mom mentally and let her husband physically abuse her. We used to live on our own in a house... that had holes in the walls and floor next to no plumbing and a bad exterior.

But we've been stuck here ever since then.

We desperately need food for the kids, for my family, for my grandma's cats aka ours as she feeds them shittu, cheap garbage. I can starve whatever I've done ut since childhood, but please think of the kids. It's a lot to ask but uf you have anything yo spare please share. We're in desperate need of help we havent had help in week.

The good news that I'm finally in Egypt now with my youngest brother and the bad news is my mother and my other brother with his wife still in Rafah waiting to evacute to Egypt.

I feel so sad and depressed for leaving them i should stayed and get out together.

Nothing like the Pakistani gov expelling Afghan refugees en masse back to a despotic country in the wake of a devastating earthquake and on the eve of an upcoming winter. All because of attacks on Pakistan from groups linked to said despotic regime that had been at the very least tacitly supported by the Pakistani gov.

Oh.. and a potential update to this (which has been coming as there are tensions between Iran and Afghanistan):

If you're wondering how to help Afghans, and discouraged by the fact that it'd be near impossible to convince these countries otherwise, International Rescue Foundation is probably the most practical source.

Otherwise, if you're American and in a blue/swing district, pressure your rep to push for the Afghan Adjustment Act and similar measures to help refugees get here and be supported. And even if you're in an area where appeals will fall on deaf ears due to racism/nativism/Islamophobia, there are refugee orgs nearby you can get involved with.

If you're not American, there are probably equivalent things that could be done.

i had two remarkably vivid dreams last night. first dream segment was basically my computer crashed in such a way i had to get a new computer and i was despairing at the transfer of files and such.

The main dream storyline was about me and a bunch of other kids (at different times) going into this house which i think used to be a school. There were two "guides" in that they were judging our performance. I went in first with my sister and we had the rules explained to us. Then we had an in person talk with the two guides and at one point, one of the guys left and it was just me, the remaining interviewer and my sister. I'm fucking around with this spare piece of paper cause im bored but i hear a sound and see my sister has curved hers into the shape of a circle and the interviewer is making a strange shape with his sleeve. Then a green light appears over my sister's circle and a red light over my folded paper.

This is because the school is wanting students to behave in the "correct" and "right" way. so they mark out undesirable behaviors which in this case, was not noticing the remaining interviewer was making a circle with his sleeve. I corrected it but unlike in the tutorial i didn't get points back. I pointed this out to the interviewer and he said something along the lines of what's made here can always get worse" and he looked sad about it.

we get dropped off in front of a manor with my engineering friends. my sister is gone. that's probably a dream mechanics thing. but all of us are outside till dark until we realize we can probably just enter the house on our own. when inside, there's crows that fly closer and closer to our locations and wolves or dogs that are prowling so we have to avoid that. then there's a skip to dinner where some secrets are being revealed. namely one of my friends had to take a quarter off essentially because he had to take care of his family (and was still doing so---i offered my help) and through him i learned that one of our other friends, after having been committed to a mental hospital, killed herself. and then i woke up.

There is no possible reality where this is in any way capable of being passed off as self-defense. It was never self-defense. It is, and always has been, a genocide.
