Ibn Masud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: “The Prophet (pbuh) drew a line for us and then said, ‘This is Allah’s Straight Path.’ Then he drew lines to its right and left, then he said, ‘These are (other) paths, upon every one of them there is a devil calling towards it.’ Then he recited, ‘Verily this is My Straight Path, so follow it and follow not (other) paths, they will separate you away from His Path. This He has ordained for you that you may become pious.’ [Quran 6:153]” [Ahmad]

A believer should be with Allah under all circumstances – in weakness and in strength, in poverty and prosperity, in happiness and sorrow. Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) advised us: "Be mindful of Allah in prosperity, and He will remember you in adversity." [Sunan al-Tirmidhî (2516)]

Allah has promised that if we are sincere in faith and do righteous good deeds, He will give us best of life in this world and reward accordingly in the hereafter. Alhamdulillah. “Whoever works righteousness — whether male or female — while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him We will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and We shall pay them certainly a reward in proportion to the best of what they used to do (i.e. Paradise in the Hereafter)” [al-Nahl 16:97]

Parents need to be a good role model to their children. If you lie, curse, or act in an inappropriate manner, then do not be surprised to see your children acting just like you. If you notice something you dislike in the behaviour of your child/children, firstly, refer back to yourself and be honest and ask yourself, am I guilty of such an act? If so, work on bettering yourself first and then you will see the change in your child/children. Dr. Bilal Philips

It is narrated from Abu Darda that the Prophet (pbuh) said, 'The Dua of a person for his Muslim brother in his absence will be answered. At his head there is an angel, and every time he prays for him for something good, the angel who has been appointed to be with him, says, 'Ameen, may you have likewise.' [Saheeh Muslim and Sunan Ibn Majah]

Faith is what will bring the Muslim everything he seeks in this world and in the Hereafter. Faith is the key to all goodness and locks the door to all evil.

The Prophet (pbuh) said: “The life of this world compared to the hereafter is as if one of you were to put his finger in the ocean and take it out again then compare the water that remains on his finger to the water that remains in the ocean” [Sahîh Muslim (2858)].

Allah is the Best Listener. “Happiness is attained by three things: being patient when tested, being thankful when receiving a blessing, and being repentant upon sinning.” (Ibn Al Qayyim al-Jawziyyah)

What if you died right this minute? Maybe you think it's not possible but anything is possible. No-one knows when they will die. So if that is the case, what have we prepared for when we meet Allah? So you have 2 choices, ignore this status & think 'Well I am sure I will live another 40 years' OR start preparing now. It's good to think about death every day. Insha'Allah we pray when we die, our abode is Jannah. Ameen.

What is required of the believer is to prepare for death at any time, by repenting to Allaah and doing righteous deeds. Ibn Maajah (4259) narrated that Ibn ‘Umar said: I was with the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) when a man from among the Ansaar came to him and greeted the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) with salaam, then he said: “O Messenger of Allaah, which of the believers is best?” He said: “The one who is best in attitude.” He said: “Which of the believers is most wise?” He said: “The one who remembers death the most, and is best prepared for what comes after it. Those are the wise.” Al-Iraaqi said: its isnaad is jayyid. It was classed as hasan by al-Albaani in Saheeh Ibn Maajah.
