22-years old. Came from nothing. Realized his dream of being drafted into the NFL last year. Signed a four year/$17 million dollar contract.
Driving his new Corvette at speeds of 156mph when he lost control and smashed into the back of a Toyota Rav4.
The impact was so vicious that it killed the 23-year old woman who was driving the Rav4 and her dog.
When emergency responders arrived, the Rav4 was engulfed in flames, and the woman was trapped inside.
His blood alcohol level was at twice the legal limit, and he had a loaded gun in the car.
At the age of 21, Henry Ruggs realized his childhood dream. One year later....his career is over. The dream is over, and he is facing 20 years in prison.

Carpe Diem
Many of us are unable to free ourselves from the past, to free ourselves from the suffering of the past. We want to cling to our suffering; but we shouldn’t cling to the past, the past is already gone. Don't wait for the future, the future hasn't arrived yet.
What I’ve learned over the years is that wise people settle in the present moment and practice living deeply in the present moment. This is our practice. By living deeply in the present moment we can better understand the past and we can prepare for a better future.
Let go.. let God.. or just let Carpe Diem ..

One day you woke up and realized you were worth a whole lot more than you settled for. Your environment, your relations, your decisions; they were never and are not regrets.
