this won’t get 1% of the women’s version of this post.

the world we live in, and people in general don’t care about men. we are pretty much robots who aren’t allowed to show emotion. we’re taught from a young age that boys don’t cry.

fact is women are sexualised, men are idealised. because men can’t be raped because they’re big and strong right? right? yea, pretty much the idiots view of living.

Always reblog

Sks support this idea or unfollow me i dont give 3 shits if i loose yall as followers, fuck off if you dont support this

I lost some bois, we got em.

(I was at 101..)

unfollow me too ://///

I’m starting to hate the world we live in.

As a sexual assault survivor, this message is more important to me than anything. Sexual assault happens to all genders, whether society wants to admit it or not. We can’t expect the world to do better if we only look at one half of the problem. We can’t be hypocritical.

Yes, 1 in 4 girls will be sexually assaulted before age 18. But 1 in 6 men will also. Yes, 20-25% of college women experience sexual assault, but 15% of college men experience it also. In the US, 1 in 3 women will experience some form of sexual violence/assault at some point in their lifetimes, but 1 in 6 men will also. (Source)

Sexual assault is NOT exclusive to women, and never will be. Support ALL victims. PERIOD.

I’m non binary and a rape survivor. A lot of men are sexual assault survivors…

reblog as this is important

So important

This is super important. No matter what you think, there are men out there who are truly suffering and know exactly what you’re going through. Put your hatred for men aside for one second and realize as there are many awful ones, there’s also wonderful ones. Same thing with women.

Feminism is about equality. Protecting women’s AND men’s rights.

Sexual assult is something that hits very close to home and not being able to tell my mom because she won’t believe me or my stepdad because I’m lying because I don’t like his family and all my friends and boyfriend saying I’m just looking for attention It is now something that I will carry with me forever and the feeling of being raped or sexually assaulted by family and not being able to tell anyone fucking sucks sexual assult and rape has no boundaries it can happen at any age and to any race and gender and by anyone so if your someone who says you can’t get raped because your a guy your a fucking terrible human being and I beg of you to unfollow me

The details are still being worked out, but there are a few really important things to know:

  1. The government will not ask you to pay anything up front to get this money. No fees. No charges. No nothing.
  2. The government will not call to ask for your Social Security number, bank account, or credit card number. Anyone who does is a scammer.
  3. These reports of checks aren’t yet a reality. Anyone who tells you they can get you the money now is a scammer.

Predict that the scammers are gearing up to take advantage of this. So, remember: no matter what this payment winds up being, only scammers will ask you to pay to get it. If you spot one of these scams, please tell the Federal Trade Commission: www.ftc.gov/complaint.

The FTC encourages you to keep up to date with the latest Coronavirus-related scams at www.ftc.gov/coronavirus or by signing up to get these consumer alerts.

In addition to my breast cancer, I have the joy of multiple autoimmune diseases. One of them causes me to have anaphylaxis to myself, so in addition to the bi-weekly cancer chemo I receive monthly Immunotherapy. They will not administer it at your appointment unless you have your Epi Pens with you, because the Immunotherapy itself can cause anaphylaxis and you may need it on the ride home.

I had Immunotherapy Monday, and as the chemo fog has fried my brain, I decided to get out my box and check on when my Epi Pens expire while I was sitting there for my 30 minute post delivery observation, My Nurse noticed me looking at the box, and I told her I was checking the expiration date.

She walked over and told me the date I was looking at was only the expiration date of the prescription, not the actual Epinephrine syringe. Where I live, pill bottles and the like typically say “Drug Z, Filled 1-2-33,Good until 1-2-34, 5 refills expires 1-2-34” so Drug Z was good for a year and so was the prescription.

The tag on my Epi Pen box said “Filled 4-10-19 Expires 4-10-20”

She told me that Epi Pens were different, the tag on the box was the date for the prescription expiration only. The medication, the actual Epinephrine expiration dates were only on the syringes themselves. She then proceeded to open the box, remove the sheaths, open them and remove the syringes, and show me the expiration dates.

My Epi Pens had been dispensed in April 2019, and had expired in July of 2019. My Epi Pens, on which my life might depend, had expired SEVEN FREAKING MONTHS AGO. They had had a lifespan of three months.

I was angry, and horrified. They immediately sent a new scrip to my pharmacy of course and I thanked her for telling me as it potentially could have saved my life. I also asked her to inform every single patient who came in that office, and she will.

She told me that every single time I pick up an Epi Pen prescription, immediately go sit in one of the waiting chairs, open up the box, and check the dates on the syringes. If it’s not a year, go back up and demand they take them back and order new syringes with a one year life span, as typically we are renewing them with a few days lee way either way once we know the true expiration date..

If for some reason they refuse call your insurance company and they should raise hell. Apparently this is legal because when the pharmacy gets a scrip and orders the pens, the manufacturer is not sending expired merchandise. And of course, if there’s an issue, the consumer didn’t fulfill their responsibility to check the expiration date.

Two years ago, I anaphylaxed alone at home. It progressed fast, and as soon as I unlocked the front door and called 911, I delivered a pen through my jeans into my thigh. It didn’t stop the progress. They gave me a dose of Epi, and a giant dose of steroids in the ambulance, and they met us with an intubation kit at the hospital.

The responders and Docs in the ED at first were wondering if I had delivered the pen properly of course, but as they quickly removed my clothes they saw the syringe bruise and the drop of dried blood right in the right place. For the remainder of my hospital stay they couldn’t figure out why the Epi Pen hadn’t stopped or at least slowed it down. That’s what they do, they don’t reverse it.

Now I look back and wonder. I had tossed the used pen in the trash immediately, and thrown out the other in it’s box when I came home from the hospital with a new two pack. What if the syringe I had used had expired six or seven or nine months before? What if my new kit had expired four months later?

I am furious, and frightened for those who don’t know, I’ve already contacted my best friend for her husband, and my niece for her little girl. I will be contacting my GP to see if he knew this and every one else I know eventually, and asking them to spread the word.

Check your Epi Pens, tell every one you know, and please signal boost this and REBLOG IT to spread the word.

Thanks guys, and be well. Love  xXx

Hey guys, this is something to go check and fix right now.

-FemaleWarrior

@thebibliosphere, you probably already know about this, maybe some of your followers could use this info?

Welp, I’m off to check my new Epi-pens cause I’ve been using the date on the box this whole time.

i really didn’t think i could be anymore disappointed in electoralism but here i am in the chicago suburbs desperately trying to not watch the news

yesterday night chicago news cycles aired fake results proclaiming biden the winner of our primaries, citing them as graphic tests. our election board begged our billionaire democrat governor to postpone elections and he fucking refused, claiming that judges and voters would be provided with proper sanitation supplies and come today, most of our polling locations SWITCHED or outright CLOSED and judges had to drop out because they were at risk during a fucking pandemic

leftover volunteers were majority elders who arrived at polling sites lacking any hand sanitizer or even basic VOTING SUPPLIES. there’s a location where volunteer judges arrived, were NOT provided with a fucking blue box for literal hours, and had to redirect voters to a polling site across town. a polling site in barrington had all of its fucking judges drop out–as they SHOULD HAVE CUZ WE’RE IN A FUCKING PANDEMIC. bernie suggested postponing elections and biden’s twitter accounts encouraged people to put themselves at risk lmfao

my brother and i have been calling jp pritzker on all three of his public phone numbers all fucking day and i haven’t even been able to leave a voicemail asking about extending mail ballot deadlines. you’d think a billionaire could afford to get some hand sanitizer for the elderly that are volunteering on his behalf but lol

btw barrington is a largely centrist-conservative area that would have voted for biden. the fact that he’d put his own voter base at risk by demanding that people go outside to crowded polling locations (latino areas reported a two hour long fucking wait)–especially in light of the fact that an entire senior center back in dupage got quarantined yesterday after 22 elders got diagnosed with covid-19–absolutely fucking astonishes me. like it really fucking astonishes me. his older voter base is going to fucking die and their blood is on his hands

it just keeps getting fucking worse

isn’t it a little sad how a lot of white people are allowed to be interested in and have this mad connection to egypt and stuff, and identify with ancient egypt and it’s seen as normal. but the moment like, black people are, especially black americans, the whole conversation turns into “well you know black ppl weren’t in egypt” even tho that’s false. further more, a lot of black people may be interested in egypt for reasons that don’t involve reconnecting or whatever  many non-black people think, but our connection and interest in egypt (even if it’s just a silly interest because we idk, learned abt egypt in elemetnay school and we think anubis looks cool) is always scrutinized, questioned and somehow our identity and heritage is brought up and invalidated. yet we’ve got white ppl talking about who much they love egypt, how they identify in the culture, how they live there/visited, etc. like a lot of non-black Egyptians welcome white people into their culture and heritage, more so than they do black people and a lot of white and non-black egyptians work together to be extremely anti black toward black americans when we show a LICK of interest in egypt.

So people are making different videos for you to use in uncomfortable situations!

The majority of the Uber ones mention in some way that they have your location on. Some you would pretend are messages someone left on your phone. Some have a script for you to follow along to on screen! Some are specific to who are calling you!

Exactly

Hi, trans male Mental Health Professional here.

What transmeds don’t seem to understand is that in the United States, Gender Dysphoria is the diagnosis in the DSM-V needed to medically transition, but having dysphoria and being transgender are not the same thing.

On page 451 of the DSM V, Transgender is defined as “the broad spectrum of individuals who transiently or persistently identify with a gender other than their natal gender”.

Meanwhile, “Gender dysphoria refers to the distress that may(MAY) acompany the incongruence between one’s experienced or expressed gender and one’s assigned gender. Although not all( NOT ALL) individuals will experience distress as a result of such incongruence many are…”(Again, many, but NOT ALL).

On the next page, there is a set of criteria needed for the diagnosis of Gender Dysphoria for both children, and for adolescents/adults. For adolescents and adults, only 2 of the 6 criteria must be met for a diagnosis.

As you can see, you can identify as another gender, and have a strong desire to be treated as another gender, but you DO NOT need to hate your body parts. It also does not specify that you have to identify as strictly male or female, so non binary people that are dysphoric can transition if they so choose, because they meet the criteria of being transgender as well as having gender dysphoria.

In any case, dysphoria is different for everyone. Some people may think something they experience is not dysphoria, when it actually is. Some trans people may strongly identify as male or female, but not particularly care what their body looks like. For some people, dysphoria changes and becomes more or less severe at certain points of transition. Everyone is different.

Tl;dr, transmeds are saying information that is medically and socially recognized to be false, and are targeting people out of their own ignorance. You do not need to be miserable to identify as a gender that is not the one you were assigned at birth, which is what being transgender is.

It’s not a matter of agreeing or disagreeing, transmeds are wrong.

• Please don’t make fun of kids dreams.
• Please don’t degrade or invalidate their emotions.
• Please don’t be mean to kids if they come up to you in public.
• Honestly these kind of things can stick with kids for years, so just try to remember how you felt when you were a kid.

““I think the black community needs to acknowledge the fact that they are being completely silent about the murders that have been happening in our community,” Hunter said. “Just last year, 12 trans women of color were murdered with no response from the black community. When folks scream, ‘Black Lives Matter,’ they’re not talking about black trans women. Most of the time, they’re not even talking about [cis] black women.””

The only picture I have of my childhood is the picture of me in kindergarten, I have this expression on my face — it’s not a smile, it’s not a frown. I swear to you, that’s the girl who wakes up in the morning and who looks around her house and her life saying, ‘I cannot believe how God has blessed me.’ “

image

“I would jump in trash bins with maggots looking for food, and I would steal from the corner store because I was hungry, I never had any kids come to my house because my house was a condemned building, it was boarded up, it was infested with rats. I was one of those kids who were poor and knew it.”

image

“I was the kind of poor where I knew right away I had less than everyone around me. We had nothing, I cannot believe my life, I just can’t, I’m so blessed. I would jump in trash bins with maggots looking for food, and I would steal from the corner store because I was hungry, I never had any kids come to my house because my house was a condemned building, it was boarded up, it was infested with rats. I was one of those kids who were poor and knew it.”

image

“It became a motivation as opposed to something else — the thing about poverty is that it starts affecting your mind and your spirit because people don’t see you, I chose from a very young age that I didn’t want that for my life. And it very much has helped me appreciate and value the things that are in my life now because I never had it. A yard, a house, great plumbing, a full refrigerator, things that people take for granted, I don’t.”

image

I first envisioned myself as an actor after I watched Cicely Tyson in The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman when I was a child.”

“It wasn’t until then that I had a visual manifestation of the target I wanted to hit, It also gave me hope for the future and a different life for myself, she helped me have a very specific drive of how I was going to crawl, walk, run from that environment.”
