12 Month Dream Girl Journey: Revisited
In my original post, I laid out how to transform into your dream girl in a one year time span. Everyone feels so rushed to blossom into this new version of yourself overnight and it can feel so incredibly overwhelming and impossible, not to mention time consuming and expensive! Why rush the process? Most lifestyle changes that people try to overload at once never stick anyway. How many times have you been excited to start doing all these cool things, did it 2 days in a row and then fell off the wagon for months on end? Exactly. This metamorphoses should be enjoyable, doable, and something that will give you lasting results, it should not be treated like some crash diet.
So now it's a new year and with that comes a brand new cover for the Official 12 Month Dream Girl Guide planner, now making this our 5th one! (Available here) (all other planners can be found in my pinned post)

Why use my 12 month plan rather than going at it all willy-nilly?
Like I said before, becoming a new you takes TIME. It takes a lot of effort, energy, discipline, consistency, and self-evaluation. You simply can't become a health conscious fashionista with glowing skin, straight A's, a great job, new high value bf, $10k saved up, and the ability to do the splits without being intentional with your day to day planning. You need structure. You need a long term plan. 12 months may seem like a long time to become a new and improved version of yourself but it's not. Years fly by fast. And tbh if you're not interested in spending good time working on yourself, maybe you will be one of those people that constantly say "I wish I wish I wish" but never make any changes. Don't rush the process.
Before you start your dream girl journey, it's important to re-familiarize yourself with what a dream girl is (according to 2pretty, at least). Excerpt from the DGG:

Reminder that comparison is the thief of joy. A certain level of comparison is not only completely natural but it's also healthy and part of the human experience. But it can absolutely go too far and leave you feeling insecure with your life, looks, status, bank account, possessions, and everything in between. The whole point of my dream girl journey method is to focus solely on you and your utmost desires so that no other woman's life/looks/whatever makes you feel envious. Why would you be? You've got what you want and are happy in your own shoes. Stop comparing yourself to everyone online and around you and start being grateful for what you do have. And then, work on going after the things that you don't have yet that are truly and solely YOUR life's desires. This is how you become your dream girl. There's no specific bag you must have, apartment you must live in, degree you must have, or aesthetic you must follow. I'll say it again: THERE IS NO SPECIFIC DREAM GIRL AESTHETIC!
This is about authenticity and personal happiness. And that looks different for all of us.
So remember: you choose 12 things about yourself that you want to work on and they must be things in YOUR control (good: do yoga every morning. bad: have my mom send me $50 every week. what if she says no or doesn't have the money? you can't control that). These 12 things will correspond to each of the 12 months. You spend each month working on ONE thing every day (if possible) to build up the habit. We are our habits. What you do daily is who you are. 30 days is a great amount of time to build a habit before adding in the next months goal. So if January is for jogging every morning, you will be acclimated to it when February hits and you need to jog AND practice guitar every day. It's not overloading yourself too fast. You're giving yourself time to get used to new changes and devote enough attention to them. The beginner stage of any new habit is difficult because you're not on autopilot yet. But after enough time, you do get there, hence why it's so easy to brush your teeth every morning now as compared to when you were 4 and your mom had to remind you.

Try not to get too excited and have multiple goals in one month. The only way I would say it's okay to do that is if you have an "active" goal (like studying) and a "passive" goal (like growing your nails long or staying off of twitter). Don't force yourself to list too many things in one month that requires you to DO something rather than simply NOT doing something and/or letting nature run it's course. It sounds nice in the beginning when you're all fired up but when it's time to get to work every day consistently, you'll regret it. One active goal per month. You have a whole year to transform, don't worry, you'll get there.
The dgg is in fact a daily planner. It is undated, so you can buy it whenever and use it whenever.

What if you have more than 12 goals and can't complete them all in one year? That's perfectly normal. We never stop growing and it's a good thing to go year after year with more goals you want to accomplish. That means you'll have fun again next year with another dgg! Again, this is a marathon not a sprint.
Finally, I want you to remember that this is a personal journey. You're not on anyone else's time but your own. Stay focused on your own timeline and stop worrying about what everyone else is doing. Dream girls move at the pace that makes sense for them and aren't concerned about keeping up with the Joneses.

Good luck, have fun and have a totally fetch it-girl year <3

With a taste of your lips I’m on a ride. You’re toxic, I’m slippin’ under. With a taste of a poison paradise, I’m addicted to you, don’t you know that you’re toxic? And I love what you do, don’t you know that you’re toxic?
