Porsche 99X Electric set to dazzle at the Tokyo E-Prix
Two days before the highly anticipated Formula E debut in Tokyo, Porsche and TAG Heuer add some glitz to the glamour: the new design on the Porsche 99X Electric race cars, which Pascal Wehrlein and António Félix da Costa will drive exclusively at the Tokyo E- Prix, will be unveiled at an event in the chic Terrada Warehouse.
With the new exclusive look of its Porsche 99X Electric, Porsche and TAG Heuer are creating a distinctive highlight at the inaugural Formula E race in Japan. This unveiling marks a celebration of their long and successful partnership. The unique livery of the electric racing cars developed at the net-carbon-neutral Weissach facility pays a visual homage to Tokyo with its world-famous neon signs at night and to Japanese street art and car culture.

Hennessey Venom F5 Sets Road Car Record at COTA
Hennessey Special Vehicles, the Texas-based hypercar manufacturer, has set a new road car lap record at the Circuit of The Americas (COTA) with a blistering 2:10.90 lap of the 3.41-mile-long racetrack.
Breaking the previous COTA road car lap record* by 0.43 seconds makes the track-focused Hennessey Venom F5 Revolution the fastest ever road-going hypercar around the Texan circuit. The flying lap surpassed the 2:11.33 time, recorded by a Czinger C21, plus outpaced the previous McLaren P1 record (2:17.12) by almost seven seconds. During the record-breaking run on March 11, ‘America’s Hypercar’ also hit exceptional speeds on the 1,016 meter-long back straight, achieving 193.10 mph.
*The previous COTA production car lap record was set by a Czinger 21C of 2:11.33 on September 23, 2023. The previous lap record was 2:17.12, set by a McLaren P1.

Maserati MCXtrema Hits the Track Ahead of First Delivery
Maserati MCXtrema, the Trident's uncompromising 730-hp ‘beast’ has returned to be unleashed into its natural environment: the track. It will be undergoing a series of tests until late April, aiming at the delivery of the first model, planned for late summer 2024.
MCXtrema, a non-road-homologated race car produced in 62 units, was created to break the mould and invent new paradigms. The epitome of Maserati DNA and of the extraordinary performance characteristic of everything the 100% Italian brand produces, MCXtrema offers up evidence of its disruptive attitude to racing between the curbs of the circuit where it could be seen in action in a series of fundamental tests to gather the data needed for the final tune-ups. The Trident’s exclusive creation is one of the brand’s boldest cars in terms of development and is an evolution of the Maserati MC20 super sports car, its inspiration and basis.
In February, it had its first official outing at the Autodromo Varano de' Melegari (Parma), where MCXtrema was taken to the track by Maserati chief test driver Andrea Bertolini, one of the most successful drivers in the GT class with four world titles aboard the glorious MC12, who has been working on its development in the dynamic simulator since the early stages.
The February shakedown and subsequent milestones to refine its performance have been the ideal setting to unleash the full power of the 730-hp (540-kW) 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 engine, based on the Maserati Nettuno and taken to the next level.

Vantage GT3 to make British Racing Debut with Hawkins
Aston Martin Racing aims to extend its phenomenal legacy of success in the British GT Championship as it joins forces with partner teams Beechdean AMR, Blackthorn Racing and the newly-created Forsetti Motorsport, to bring five brand new Vantage GT3 and GT4s to three classes during 2024.
Among the headline acts participating in this formidable line-up will be Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team Head of F1 Academy and Driver Ambassador Jessica Hawkins, who makes her British GT Championship debut when the series begins at Oulton Park (29 March – 1 April). She joins six-time class champion Beechdean AMR alongside team owner and series veteran Andrew Howard as the duo make an assault on the Silver-Am class with a brand-new Aston Martin green Vantage GT3.
Hawkins, who tested an Aston Martin Formula 1 car in Hungary last year, is a W Series podium finisher and a race-winner in the TCR UK series. The 29-year-old was also one of several drivers entrusted with testing the new Vantage GT3 during its development over the winter.
