a story with that cyberpunk theme of “are you really human if you modify your body to gain power“, except the body modification is just strength training.
i feel like charlie’s boom is popularity + genuine swag upgrade and the decline of chuck e. cheese’s around the country is not a coincidence… charlie slimecicke has been stealing the soul of charles entertainment cheese in order to consume his power and achieve the white boy fuck boy fluffy hair that has gay men all over tumblr going rabid.
i just found out tumblr was storing over three GIGABYTES of cookies on my device without me knowing and that's why it's been running so fucking slow recently... incredible. anyways everyone go clear your fucking cookies. don't let this website run a goddamn video game's worth of disc space in the background for no good reason.
look, fandom as a whole certainly has its own built-in biases and problems that need to be addressed
but like
every so often i think about all of the deep, nurturing lifelong friendships that only ever happened because one day two internet strangers were like ‘oh hey, we agree on which fictional characters should kiss!’
people who are right now helping each other survive via connections they initially forged by liking the same sailor moon girl or something
the internet is a goddamn garbage pit but it is also a goddamn miracle
tommy’s such a fascinating case of allyship and the fact that there might be more cishets like him in the future with queer people being more accepted is hilarious to me
like how the hell does a cishet man get legally married to a gay man, refuse to get a divorce, write fanfic about them being together, then get attacked by terfs who thought he was trans
whether you like tommy or not you have to admit that’s a hilarious way to be an ally, his mom really raised him right
wild to me how sad-ist’s animatics/screenshots aren’t even considered fanart its just straight up canon. when making edits with others fanart people credit them but people use minecraft clips and sad-ist screenshots interchangeably. its so obvious whose it is we dont even need to say it. never seen fanart with that level of universal impact on the fandom
there's no greater betrayal than finally starting to read a book you've had sitting for months on your shelf or your desk or your nightstand and then finding out it's bad. like. i gave you a fucking home.
