TodoMomo Headcanon

I feel like Shoto’s biggest draw towards Momo is how much like Fuyumi or Rei she is. The first real women in Shoto’s life who set an example for him. And while Fuyumi wasn’t really in his life until later, I’m sure he gathered the similarities. Fuyumi took over the role as mother after Rei left. She cooks, she provides, she protects- she’s motherly. Shoto loved his mom dearly, and even defended her after she burned him. Shoto very clearly craves a mother figure in his life.

Momo is a mother figure to everyone she meets. She makes them tea, she understands him, she admires him. She’s a natural born leader and protects her classmates. I feel like Shoto would feel really safe with Momo, that he could tell her anything, and she would smile and listen. Momo, like Fuyumi, tries to keep everyone together and is possibly kinder than she should be. Regardless, they do it for the sake of others. They make sacrifices for their “families” which exactly what mothers do. I just think they’d have a very pure form of love that allows them to have what they need: for Momo to take care of Shoto and for Shoto to be taken care of.
