Folkling Save File WIP - Willow Creek

So, over the past few days my inspiration to build has waived. I'd find inspiration, and lose it just as fast. No one knows this, but I started the Windbrook Save File with CC. It was a personal passion project at first, but I ultimately decided to share it with you all, so I removed the CC.

Enter the Folkling Save File.

While I plan on sharing this save file, I will be using CC. I'll be using the Blowtorch and TOOL mod to meticulously craft the world(s) to my liking. The Windbrook Save File just scratched the surface, the Folkling Save File will be the save file I've always wanted to build.

In the end, I want this save file to be a coming of age movie, the whole shabang.

NPC Fasion

NPC Fashion - is a configuration file for MC Command Center. It won't work without MCCC.

Compitable with the latest game patch.

If you are tired of ridiculously dressed NPCs, or you want your newly generated NPCs are being dressed at least not like weirdos and you are using MCCC, than this file is the solution.

This file contains:

1530 unique female outfits total;

1771 unique male outfits total;

341 unique female (elders) outfits total;

653 unique male (elders) outfits total;

133 unique female (child) outfits total;

245 unique male (child) outfits total;

263 unique outfits for infants.

How to install:

simply drop the file from the archive in MCCC folder and confirm replacement if needed.

In game:

Click on a Computer >> [MC Command Center] >> [MC Dresser] >> [Only Use Saved Outfits] :

**You must choose "Enabled" for MC Dresser to clean sims with outfits listed in the CFG file.

Click on a Computer >> [MC Command Center] >> [MC Population] >> [Population Settings] >> [Run Dresser] :

**You must choose "Enabled" for new sims to be generated with clean outfits.

Warning! I have all EPs and DLSs. This means that if you don't have some clothes, which where used in this .cfg file, some outfits may be "broken" (missing bottom or top etc.).

New Lot Traits : Use Residential Rentals shared areas as Community Lots

Hi everyone ! 🤗

Over the last few days, I've been working on a project that seemed necessary to bring a little life to some of the residential lots I've built: using shared spaces as community lots, to give my residents access to a bar, cafe, or whatever, without going through a loading screen, while bringing a little more life to these spaces.

I know that LittleMsSam had already made a mod allowing you to always have NPCs on any lot, but what I also needed here was to have visitors, who would use the objects placed on the lot as expected. To this end, I created 5 traits:

🍵 Brewed Delights: the lot functions as a café (if there's an Espresso Bar) or a Thrift Shop (if there's a Bubble Tea stand). It's open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

🍕 Meals on the Go: the lot automatically hires stall vendors (up to 2 stalls) and/or a cafeteria server (using University's Cafeteria Station) for lunch and dinner.

🍸 Drinking Spot: the lot functions as a bar (if there is a bar in the shared spaces). This also includes karaoke if a machine is present. It's open from 2 p.m. to 2 a.m.

🧩 Fun Zone: the lot automatically brings in children and teenagers to enjoy the on-site facilities (outdoor or indoor games) from 10am (weekends)/5pm (weekdays) to 9pm.

🏥 Care Facility: this lot takes car of its tenants by offering them all the comforts they need on a daily basis: a catering services (using University's Cafeteria Station), care and visits from the loved ones.

Additional stuff :

The traits are located under lot challenges. You need to configure them for each unit separately.

Those traits work on Residential Rentals and community lots. I had to modify all autonomies so that visitors only use objects in the shared areas.

Among visitors, neighbors living on the same lot are used to populate the shared areas, in addition to the other tasks they normally perform.

If the lot trait Private Dwelling is used, only NPCs will be included, and visitors will be limited to Sims from other units. I use this feature, for example, to have a bar in my hotel!

In the current configuration, I favor played sims for visitor groups (not for single visitors). I'll have to see how I adapt this, as it's the most relevant in my way of playing, but I could change this setting.

A Janitor NPC is included except for the Fun Zone, to clean up any leftover glasses and plates at the end of service. I wasn't able to limit them to the shared areas entirely, so they may also clean your active family's home.

The mod should require some expansions packs, at least For Rent, Get to Work, Get Together, University, High School Years.

At the moment, translated in french and spanish only (it's very limited in terms of strings used)

More information on the few altered tunings after the cut

List of altered tunings : I tried to limit myself, and in the future I plan to use the Lot 51 Core Library for most of them, but it seems at the moment the injection of static commodities doesn't work that well :

eat_to_clean_from_sit: to make visitors' dirty plates and glasses disappear like on a community lot - otherwise your lots would be a mess after 1 day! It doesn't work 100%, but it helps. As a side effect, this effect also applies to your sims if you have the lot trait, which means less dishes!

bubbleTeaCounter_PushOrderDrink_Autonomous & bubbleTeaCounter_PushOrderFood_Autonomous: to add the static commodity that makes visitors route to them when they are spawned on the lot. I doubt other mods affect those, so it should be ok!

The Soddy

A CC Free Prairie Homestead

Homesteading and the settlement of the American west has always been a particular interest of mine and recently I've become very interested in sod houses! I toyed with the idea of recreating one in Sims but never had a good world or assets to work with. When I fell into my little building bender a few weeks ago I realized Chestnut Ridge was perfect for it and promptly hyperfixated.

This home is ideal for a couple or small family just trying to make their way in the prairie of Chestnut Ridge. The house can fit up to three sims and a baby or toddler, perhaps a bit snug for our modern standards but perfectly alright for the nineteenth century. Also comes complete with fertile fields, an empty chicken coop, a slightly decrepit horse barn, and a well stocked root cellar.

This house is heavily inspired by Prairie Homestead in South Dakota. When I started kicking around the idea of this build I started googling for reference photos and discovered this very cool historic site. I tried to match this build to its real life counterpart more than I usually do, as the interior that they have set up for that house was just so fun and unique feeling. The exterior is inspired by it, but sim lot constraints required more creative license. I highly recommend you look at some photos, it really is such an interesting place.

Sod houses, which were constructed by cutting hunks of the top layer of the grasslands (which were held together by the strong roots of the native grasses) were common throughout the latter part of the nineteenth century and began to peter out in the early part of the twentieth century. They weren't the most luxurious accommodations, but did have the virtue of being warm in the winter and cool in the summer.

Unfortunately as the walls were made from the earth, bugs could be an issue and I've given this lot the creepy crawlies bug challenge for ~realism~. It's also off-the-grid, and has a functional root cellar (meaning I put the fridge down there, have fun in thunderstorms).

This lot is fully playtested (might have been the most I've played in a while actually, I wanted to make sure the crib worked). Please please enjoy this build. I know I always say it but this one is actually my favorite, and making this work with the constraints of Sims 4 terrain tools was quite the undertaking and I'm so pleased with it.

So the new gameplay I'm thinking of starting is gonna be a cross between a black widow challenge and like... A pack challenge? 👀 So each victim would be a different pack, and when she marries them, I'd play around w the pack elements for a bit, and kill the spouse when I got bored of it ✨✨✨

but of course I have no time to set everything up bc ~moving~ 🫠 so for now it'll live in my head and I'll creep around on y'all's gameplay lol

She almost never went out, some said she talked to her parents’ ghosts, but no graves were ever found on the property. While alive, she was feared by all. However when she died, her poems were discovered. Magical writing that speaks to your soul. Now, everyone admires and loves Orchid Ellis. If only she had known.

The journey out was a hard one for the northerners, losing quite a bit of furniture and oxen on their trail. But the two were young, overly optimistic, and confident in setting their roots in this strange new place.

I love making older buildings, and I’ve already made a one room schoolhouse but unfortunately you need 2 rooms in order to have a functioning high school :( So I tried my best to create a school that resembles an old schoolhouse and I’m quite happy with how it turned out. There’s the essentials, but also a soccer field, chess tables, a telescope, and typewriters (i.e. computers) for your teens to use while not in class, along with an outside eating area (since there weren’t cafeterias in older schools 😅

Antiquated Brindleton

An 1890s Decades Challenge Save File

This save has been almost a year in the making, but it's finally here! It includes a completely rebuilt Brindleton Bay inspired by historic New England towns and set in the 1890s. This save uses a light amount of historical cc and most of the packs.

Builds and households are all located in Brindleton Bay. The world is intended to be historically accurate to about 1890, though some liberties for functionality have been taken.

Builds in other worlds have been deleted. The necessary buildings, like dorms, active career lots, and the high school, have all been left in place.

Townies have been evicted, but not deleted, as I prefer EA townies to fully randomized townies.

If you’d like more period appropriate townies to add, the lovely @jewishsimming has some great historical ones to download and @cowplant-snacks has an amazing tutorial on how to manage your townies with MCCC.

REQUIREMENTS: I have all the packs except Batuu and some of the kits. I didn’t limit myself when building. I don’t have everything listed out here, but I will be uploading all the lots and households to my gallery, so if you’d like to know specific pack usage you’ll be able to check there. If you load in and things are replaced or missing and you think it looks obvious feel free to message me, I’m always happy to try to help you find something else that fits! This save includes historical CC, some is included in my download in folders and some you will need to download from the creators directly. Default Map Replacements by Deshayan (if you’d like your map to look like mine does in the preview) DOWNLOAD: There are five zipped folders to download, four of which contain included cc, and one which includes the save itself.

Download the "AB_SaveFile" folder, unzip it and simply move the file inside to your saves folder inside your Sims 4 folder (where your mods folder is located).

The included cc is in four folders (to allow for easier upload/download) for build, buy, clothing, and hair. Simply download the folders, unzip them, and place them in your mods folder.

After this you should be good to load up your game and get playing, let me know if you run into any issues, I'm happy to try to troubleshoot.
