Your favorite black, lesbo, grade school teacher needs your help!!

Hi, I’m a black, queer teacher working for Pennies in a pandemic! Unfortunately, I had money and cards stolen from me this past weekend. I thought the amount wouldn’t substantially effect me, but I forgot that I was dead poor 💀 I love my job, and I’m grateful for gainful employment, but I won’t be paid soon enough to pay my Insurance. If you live in a driving city, you know how important it is keep your insurance up to date, lest it cancels your registration.

I recently recovered from covid the week I was supposed to go back to work. This decimated my savings as I wasn’t paid during my quarantine. It was disappointing to have two weeks of no income, but to still need two weeks worth of food and other expenses.

There’s no pressure to donate anything, but I would appreciate all of the help! I’m aware that I’m not the only person on earth struggling in a pandemic, I try to give when I can too. Even just sharing would help a lot. The image is a collage of art my students have made for me this past week alone. I love them so much, they’re the reason I keep going! The money would go towards keeping me with them, supplies, and bills. Dm me if you want proof of anything!

My goal is $300, but ideally undoing the damage from quarantine would also be nice!
