Ohh that means so much to me! I've been in a bit of a block myself- more so because of how much change I have going on IRL, and I've found my drawing schedule just so difficult to settle back into. Not sure if you had anything to do with the making of it, but I’m curious as to why ‘the lovers’ card in the new Good Omens tarot deck was changed to ‘the duo’, because Aziraphale and Crowley are lovers are they not?

Whether or not they acknowledge that at this point in the story is irrelevant. I just think it’s a bit strange to change that, when we all know it’s a love story and that they are or will be lovers.

I think it was probably my fault and was a miscommunication. When Amazon sent me the list of who was what on the cards, Aziraphale and Crowley were the Lovers, and I sent a message back saying I thought that was wrong -- that I thought they should have had their own individual cards, instead of being together. Instead they stayed on the same card, and now were "the Duo", which missed the point in every possible way. Sorry.

My sketches only imply the simplest of form. They're like the empty volume I fill with mass: like pouring sand into a glass vase. I can sometimes go off them to add the lines, but I struggle because they don't inform the mass in a complex enough way. Lines aren't just about drawing boundaries for me, they're about defining the darkest possible shadows. Although I plan, I can't know exactly where those shadows will be until I paint them in.

How do y'all know where to put the lines if you can't see the form first?? There's gotta be more lines second people out there!

When adding line art to a drawing I imagine it like wrapping pieces of string around a 3D form to give it definition and to deepen the darkest part of the illustration. I can't wrap lines around a form that I can't see!

heya, do you know if the good omens tarot deck with your art will be available on amazon uk? there is a good omens tarot deck available but it doesn't mention you as a co-creator, so i'm assuming it doesn't feature your art...? which by the way is fantastic, i immediately had to follow!

Hold on, wait a damn second. Is Merlin trans? I had no idea at all, and if he is, I'm overwhelmingly joyous, cuz like, I love representation of the queer kind. Evident from how I have characters of my own who are queer just like me. But yeah, outside of that ask, have a nice day, and also, I love your art, it has inspired me greatly.

Yes! Merlin is most certainly trans, and uses he/they pronouns! He transitioned when he was about thirty. I've got art discussing his body and top surgery in more detail set to be released over the next couple of months! (it's still in early access on patreon!)
