Shout out to my housemate and visiting friend for being fairly chill about the fact I growled “FUCK OFF AND DIE IN A FIRE” out of the blue, because my silly phone game had shown me an ad for a “pro-life crisis pregnancy center”.
Also if you aren’t pro-choice, same. Why are you following me.
#”I'm not reading all of that” just reads to me as #”modern hand-feeding social media culture and stand-alone news headlines have let me #poison my brain to give me the attention span of a gnat and I'm loudly declaring this to everyone for some reason” (tags via @derinthescarletpescatarian )
Same. If I don’t have the mental energy to read a long post, I just scroll past. I don’t understand why you’d feel the need to remark upon it.
I feel the same way about people who get pissy when someone uses even mildly complicated words to express themselves. I get that Google has gotten more and more useless over the last few years, but typing in “[unfamiliar word] definition” is still a decent start. Like . . . do you not WANT to understand stuff? Because that’s just weird.
I don't get the people who'll look at long text posts online and comment "I ain't reading all of that". Like ok? Congratulations? Do you also go to buffets to look at the food and announce "ooh, my delicate tiny tum can't possibly handle all of that! uwu" like it's something to boast about?
It's not a bragging point to announce that you're weak and that natural selection is coming for you.
Fire. Mayhem. Chaos. But also hope. Fear is in the air, but the spirits of Avalir are strong. And our brothers and sisters in Cathmoíra inspire us with their bravery, sincerity, and pure, giving hearts.
