I ran a similar poll last year but wanted to try it again because results were skewed by a "canon is irrelevant" option and like, yes, but if we accept canon is a thing then does MS count?

#I stand firm that if it’s not in the four Books #it’s not canon it’s a cash grab and a retcon #you have to put it in the text for it to be canon #it would be different if it had came out before life and death #but nah #or she should have done the little chapters in breaking Dawn #I wouldn’t have read them but alas

One thing that always gets me about the wolf pack is how YOUNG they all are. Jacob is 15 when we meet him, he is a baby, he is barely even in high school.

Seth Clearwater was like 14 years old. 14!!

At that age I even thought myself to be too young for things like alcohol, relationships and all the things people would consider common expierences of adolecens.

I know Stephenie Meyer gives the excuse that the Cullens themselves are also all young in mind but I don't think that really works because they still have life expierences, even with an underdeveloped brain. They've had their first kiss, learned how to do their own laundry and saw much of what life has to offer.

But no one in the wolf pack got that before their life is turned around because the Cullens ultimately don't care that much how their existince affects others.

And it is so sad because suddenly these children are forced to grow up so fast (literally and figuratively) and they don't get to ever be young again.

I just want them to have more and they never will and it makes me so sad

#i think part of it is because most of read this story as teenager and we see ourselves as older and just as mature as Bella #even though she's 17 and makes fucked up decisions #that gap between 15 and 17 really does a lot maturity wise it did for me #I read Twilight/New Moon freshman year of high school b4 the movie came out #and by like Eclipse I was like "girl you are making a mistake marrying the first dude you met in school' for so many reasons #but also like...there's so much more I can get into that I don't have space for here #also the way that SM as writer refuses to let Bella be a child bc bella is inherently an ideal teen version of herself #it's hard to do death of the author sometimes with her #which isn't always bad in some cases bc there is no canonical reason that isn't really showing it's telling bc there's no real buildup imo #most writers want to do the kid shit they didn't get to do in their writing

When rating their happiness level, you can certainly take Breaking Dawn into account, but try NOT to just rate them at the end of Breaking Dawn, but rather, idk, take an 'average' of their happiness over time, or imagine if they will still be as happy/unhappy as they are at the end of BD in 10, 20, 100 years (if applicable) from now. Their OVERALL happiness/unhappiness, not just how they are in that one moment.

Hey folks, I promised I would try to make a Twilight themed palette after the colourpop one seemed like a dud. This is my first draft (using what I have on hand. I got another order of eyeshadows coming in the moment). I didn’t do swatches of all the colors mostly because this is still a Work in Progress. Based on what I’ve seen missing from the Colourpop palette, I added some shade colors.

I wanted to point that the two swatches I did are the iridescent multichrome shades (video of the shifts to come later). The first one Phophorescent by Clionadh Cosmetics (square pan) shifts lime turquoise indigo violet. The second is Sublunar by Terra Moons which shifts hot pink green orange gold. You can see the orange-y gold for sure.

Definitely a blue is missing, (I can’t find the dang shade I wanted to use in my collection). And those matte shades need a little more fine tuning.

But anyway, please send feedback. I will be working with this some more before I list all the shade names and work on the other movies/books

After sitting with it for a couple hours, the palette is in fact just the meadow scene which they knocked that vibe out the park. It’s just lacking the rest of the movie.

Sorry this was the best response I saw to the palette. It does give that Blue Tint ashiness that was unfortunately was there for the Three people of color that were in the movie

I saw another comment mention, the palette was like watching the first 30 minutes of the movie.

My main criticism is that the shades with the more iconic quotes have more of those neutrals and there’s a little too much reliance of the “Google scene” in the movie. And honestly, it does give off Bella’s clothes but I feel like the quirkness of her character in the movie isn’t really there (honestly just pissed there’s not an orange shade for her truck!)

The swatches I’ve seen are all right and I do think it has the vibe of the first film. But I feel like it’s missing the pop of red and burnt orange (really needed a Bella’s Truck shade) I also think that the packaging is doing the heavy work of creating that Twilight Blue Tint vibe.
