Cheerful season greetings and Happy New Year Peeps

I've been working on this post for the last week. Keep pain sleeping, really not a fan. I decided rather then keep updating 3.0, I would start a new post for 2024. I will include links to 2 and 3 beneath the cut, for recording reasons. Along with proofs of current situation.

Hello All!

I can't believe it's been over a month since I last posted, could have sworn I'd been on since then, but then, I've been dealing with pain, migraines, and crappy weather, so not completely shocking.

Winston had a vet appointment on the first, he's improving and getting closer to being able to have his surgery. Yay for that!

Unfortunately, I had to use the electric money to pay for it, along with part of the car insurance money, so now I gotta get that together. I have until the 12th of April, as I called and talked with the electric company.

Any and all help, including sharing, commissions, purchasing a digital copy of my book, is appreciated. Thank you all,

2/7/2024 2 pm EDT Hiya Folks! I need to finish getting $425 for Winston's vet appointment. I am finally out of the negative, and working on getting the money together so that I can pay the vet for his appointment. I have to get to at least $200 in my account so that if need must I can put myself in the negative for the other $225, but I would prefer not. Right now, I have $2.

History:

I was asked once how come the numbers barely seem to improve. Generally, I focus on the most outstanding situations, and simply make payments on the rest when I can. It's often not that the previous things are completely taken care of, so much as I'm able to float things along. Sadly, that often means more fees, but alas, it's all I can do.

I'm still fighting for disability, and do not see that changing any time soon. Not when I am going into year 11.

4/5/24 - New Post!

Finally, I can update! I have been so busy running errands, getting documents, and taking care of things while we waited for our SSI checks to deposit. Unfortunately, more came out than we'd anticipated and we only had $700 to put towards finding a place ($825 now that we got a donation last night...thank you!). So we're putting that money towards apartment application fees and gas to check places out

Another unfortunate thing that happened was after getting a bunch of the cards I needed to replace, and getting my EBT set up again, I lost my wallet. Most of the stuff I can replace free of charge, I just need to wait at the Social Security office and talk to the benefits specialist next time she's at the shelter to replace my MediCal card. I can call Community Health Group and have them send another insurance card, but I REALLY need my ID. Fortunately, I have enough money to cover that at the moment, but yeah. This was a blow we didn't need.

So any funds we get from here on out will go to helping us apply for apartments that aren't low income that we could still maybe qualify for (also probably for more food later in the month...Lena still goes to Starbucks and I need to feed her while my mom and I eat at the shelter). Anything to help would be much appreciated, and I'm not setting a goal at the moment, but anything in $50 increments is much appreciated because most places are averaging $50 a person application fees, meaning I need to come up with $150 per apartment.

UPDATE: 4/9/24

So we might have an opportunity for a three bedroom house via Section 8 housing! We have a worker in the City of Encinitas who works with renters in Oceanside for housing and we have a house waiting for us, we just need Section 8. So any help we get RIGHT NOW will go to paying off bills accrued during the last month, two loans we have out, and help us start saving up for moving costs, as we have two large storage units full of all of our possessions in Fallbrook and one small unit in Carlsbad we'll need to clear out. But we're so close!
