The Lion Kings pouncing target is Tinkerbell.

Thank heavens Tinkerbell speaks in wind chimes so I can put her anywhere having a conversation. I used After Effects, Photoshop and of course Premiere. For instance after Simba walks out of frame and before the mole pops out (I tried to incorporate Winnie the Pooh's mole but it just didn't work right so I abandoned it) I grabbed a single image and "painted" Zazu out using Photoshop. The hardest for me was the couple of frames of removing the feathers and Zazu on the pounce itself. But I love little challenges like that as long as there is a story in there somewhere and it makes sense.
