and i do have to say that i really love fics where zev stands up for alistair (especially when they're at redcliffe and talking to isolde and eamon). i love when zev uses all his most cutting wit and his knife edge charm to protect alistair <3 i am simply weak for it <3

Every time someone refers to Alistair as "pale" in a fic, I lose ten years off my life. It happens a lot in Zevistair fics I've noticed, but just because he's lighter than Zevran doesn't make him not Brown.

oh i'm so fond of zevistair. they could be the ultimate Idiots in Love if we let them. I think there's something about the fact they both hide so well behind their masks, with Alistair trying so hard to blend into the background and joke around and never seem like threat, and Zevran trying so hard to appear funny and flirty and whatever else the wardens need him to be. and the idea of them being the ones to see beyond each other's respective masks and find that common ground in spite of all their surface-level differences...there's so much potential there!

and can you imagine zevran telling alistair that he's standing by his side, no matter what, that he's not going to abandon him, that he'd storm the black city for him? or alistair telling zevran that in the middle of all this death and ugliness, he looks at zev and sees beauty and hope and something worth fighting for? they could be so good for each other, once alistair realizes zevran's flirting is more than just teasing and zevran realizes that alistair does in fact see him as an actual person and not just a tool to be used

"oh Astarion is SOOOO effeminate" wrong. You are judging Astarion by human genders. Astarion is first and foremost a high elf and by high elf standards he is actually INCREDIBLY masc. Other high elves look at him and he reminds them of that one annoying straight guy in their elf-economics (elfenomics if you will) class in elf-college who loved playing devil's advocate. And then they see him kiss a guy and they almost die of shock.
