#i both hate and love that i am being perceived
Likewise, lmao. The realization that people actually read things that I write is always both pleasing and deeply horrifying.

Haha, Jaquelin Elliott here. I was collating citations for a job dossier and came across this and was deeply tickled. Love seeing fellow people who get it (tm) enjoying my work (the work of shameless fannibal Tumblr trash 😌), so this shout out made my day.

Rachel,
Linking to your computer’s file directory won’t allow anyone to see the file but you. If you want to share the file as a pdf, you’ll have to upload it to a file host like Google docs.

UPDATE
So, after discussing this with IT and explaining to them that the last day of classes does not equal the last day of term, our Canvas shell has been reopened (and should remain open).
You may submit your final projects through the Canvas portal now if you would like to, but, because of the glitch (and the potential for future glitches), I am not going to require this. So, emailing me your project files OR submitting through Canvas (or both) is just fine, so long as everything is in on time.
This also means that you will be able to see your grades as they're released on Canvas, which, hooray!
IMPORTANT! Problems with Canvas, so please email me your final project documents/files instead
Hi, everyone,
I emailed this out to all of you, but thought it couldn’t hurt to distribute it here as well.
So…because this school loves sending me into spasms of anxious terror, there are currently widespread problems with Canvas where it appears the system has “concluded” (or closed) Canvas shells for classes too early (you may notice our class suddenly listed under “Past Enrollments” on your Canvas account). We are not the only course affected and I, unfortunately, have neither the ability to un-conclude the course shell myself nor faith in UF’s IT department to fix a problem like this quickly enough to be of use to any of us (with grades due mid-day on Monday).
At present, I do not have the ability to edit the Gradebook on Canvas or even enter grades into it. I can, of course, calculate your grades in a spreadsheet on my own computer, but you won’t be able to see them (hopefully UF can get Canvas fixed; if not, I will be sending each of you a grade breakdown as soon as I’m done grading everything). I will still be able to enter grades into UF’s system, so no worries there. Grades will be filed on time. It’s just Canvas that’s presently goofed.
Now, what I don’t know is how this has affects your ability to submit final assignments through the submission portal on Canvas. Just to be safe, please email me your final project documents and files directly rather than trying (and potentially failing) to submit them on Canvas.
Hopefully, UF gets this fixed asap, but better safe than sorry… especially when it comes to IT.

4. Basically what would happen if all three Bronte sisters got hammered and wrote a book with Lord Byron.
I am laughing so hard.
Guillermo del Toro’s last five films have been:
1. A dark fairy tale as a metaphor for the effects of war on children, set in the midst of the Spanish Civil War 2. A superhero movie that features a war between mankind and magical creatures 3. An action movie where the heroes have to share their minds and bond emotionally so they can punch aliens from the sea better. Also Charlie Day is a scientist. 4. Basically what would happen if all three Bronte sisters got hammered and wrote a book with Lord Byron. and 5. An adorable woman falls in love with a fish man. Not a merman. A FISH MAN.
No one in Hollywood is having more fun.

Raise your hand if you’ll never get over the fact that Draco threw Harry his wand in the battle originally, defying his parents and the Dark Lords wishes, finally making his own decision for himself but they cut the scene to keep up his “cowardly” image.

the shape of water (2017) characters » richard strickland A man is faithful, Sir; loyal, efficient all of his life. All of it, and he is useful. And he expects… He has certain expectations in return. And he fails, then – once. Only once. What does that make him? Does that make him a failure? When is a man done? Proving himself, Sir? A good man. A decent man.
