New Pokemon OC! My in-game character for Scarlet, June!! (Any pronouns)

He’s a Pokemon maniac collector attending Naranja Academy. Filling the Pokédex and reaching Champion rank are fun little side quests for them while it’s main goal is to collect as many Pokemon related things as possible to fill not only their dorm room, but also their room back home in Unova. Evo stones, EV training gear, badges/trophies from other regions won by past champions, lots of collectors merch like figurines and limited time commercially-made badges signed by various gym leaders, and of course Pokemon themselves. Bro just goes nuts for all of it LOL

What is this about the tumblr staff wanting to sell art data to midjourney?

An ex-colleague of mine mentioned yesterday that there may be contacts between Automattic and midjourney in that direction, but nothing is public yet and I don't have any more info. They probably won't have anything specific to share either, since they left the company weeks ago too. That being said:

I have no reason to doubt my ex-coworker word, they are a trustworthy person.

Tumblr's CEO has been absurdly enthusiastic (comically, even) about AI, and is a big fan of LLMs and 'AI' companies.

A deal with midjourney could solve tumblr financial issues (not the same company, but openAi is paying up to 5 million/year to news companies to use their content as training data... tumblr generates several orders of magnitude more content than any newspaper or any media company and it only would need a 20 to 30 million per year deal to be profitable)

So I don't have any extra info yet, but I'm keeping my ears open.

Bad news about my laptop again. There no way me or my family is paying for the repairs. Estimate is between $1,500 - $2,000 USD. That is way more than what my parents can spare for me and I don’t have that kind of money. Commissions wouldn’t be enough to cover that even if I was lucky and got a bunch ;_;

I will still be opening comms in the new year because now I have to get a whole new laptop. My income is practically nonexistent so, uh, sorry if I get annoying with pushing my comms in the new year—

Meet Looking Glass (left) and Hocus Pocus (right), the kids of Starlight Glimmer, Trixie Lulamoon, and Sunburst in my Next Gen AU! They're also the half siblings of Luster Dawn.

Looking Glass: (She/It/They) A resident of Ponyville and is both taking classes from and living at the School of Friendship. While Luster loves her younger sibling, Glass can be a bit of an annoyance when she's trying to work on her studies.

Hocus Pocus: (She/Her) She's a little filly with a big sense of adventure and wants to become a "big important mare" like her mom and god aunt Twilight.

This is Diggery-Doo, one of the OCs featured in my MLP AU! She's a resident of Princess Fate's kingdom on the Hidden Island. She was also one of the ponies I adopted from Midori-Berry-adopts on DeviantArt! Her role isn't totally fleshed out atm, but she's one of the ponies that guides the main group around the island when they first arrive.
