Happy news〜

ROM IV The Mark of the Lady Saint. Chapter 2: The Templar Witch part II & III will be out next week after corrections.

I'm working on it right now.

Even if I wanted to do it on Holidays, I had plenty of work. That week and the previous one (due a cosplay project and a ton of work for a con the next week) was very busy and my head can't really think I English at that moment, I didn't even had the patience to turn on my computer.

But I am sure I can finish it in some hours and send it to correction today, so I'll be able to post it during the next week. It depends on the proof readers.

With this, chapter two will be finished and we start the best part of the novel!, so I am very very excited. I will do my best so I can bring to you the whole chapter or at least two parts of it during the month.

I've been resource gathering for YEARS so now I am going to share my dragons hoard

Floorplanner. Design and furnish a house for you to use for having a consistent background in your comic or anything! Free, you need an account, easy to use, and you can save multiple houses.

Comparing Heights. Input the heights of characters to see what the different is between them. Great for keeping consistency. Free.

Magma. Draw online with friends in real time. Great for practice or hanging out. Free, paid plan available, account preferred.

Smithsonian Open Access. Loads of free images. Free.

SketchDaily. Lots of pose references, massive library, is set on a timer so you can practice quick figure drawing. Free.

SculptGL. A sculpting tool which I am yet to master, but you should be able to make whatever 3d object you like with it. free.

Pexels. Free stock images. And the search engine is actually pretty good at pulling up what you want.

Figurosity. Great pose references, diverse body types, lots of "how to draw" videos directly on the site, the models are 3d and you can rotate the angle, but you can't make custom poses or edit body proportions. Free, account option, paid plans available.

Line of Action. More drawing references, this one also has a focus on expressions, hands/feet, animals, landscapes. Free.

Animal Photo. You pose a 3d skull model and select an animal species, and they give you a bunch of photo references for that animal at that angle. Super handy. Free.

Height Weight Chart. You ever see an OC listed as having a certain weight but then they look Wildly different than the number suggests? Well here's a site to avoid that! It shows real people at different weights and heights to give you a better idea of what these abstract numbers all look like. Free to use.

Before I dare to say more, I want to know from artists something really really important since... This issue affect people that I care for and maybe I am on the side of the unpopular opinion but... That's why I am asking you, in a good way and not wishing any kind of war with this.

I am aware this is a pretty delicate topic for some, I can understand perfectly that artists want to protect their works, it is very valid, that's why many people don't like images generated with Ai's, but...

Here's my question:

With generic I mean, something so common as a teddy bear. Just a plushy bear, the most generic, common one you can imagine.

Does it is really something polemical? It affects somebody if I put on this teddy bear a dress just because I wanted it to look like a magical girl, with no recognizable prop, just a bad done pink wand?

And remember I am telling you that it's just a 3D image of an average teddy bear, no Disney style, no style at all.

And for the using, just share them on social media and things like that.

I want to be ultra specific because I really want to understand this, to see if that's a real worrying thing for artists.

Some time ago somebody here shared a post about tools to help artists protect their works and prevent to be used to train this AI's, in a very peculiar way I discovered that most of the information I got about it on YouTube don't have many views or likes...

I want to know too if you have heard about this tools before.

Maybe by now I am the most ignorant person about this topic, so I want to hear from you what do you think. I really want to have enough information and being really informed about this tools and how to use them properly.

Maybe I can tell you later what happened, and why I did this question.

Another legend had passed away 🕊️💔😭.

Like 2 hours ago, when I was almost going out from work, a friend sent me a message with the sad news.

Akira Toriyama, one of the greatest mangaka of the time died on March 1st 2024.

Oficial media was giving the news today, March 7th.

I grew up with Dragon Ball. The story that mesmerize me since I was a little child, it was with me in my darkest years of my teens and inspired me to became an artist (which I failed).

He's a legend with many other works, not only Dragon Ball and he was the inspiration for many other mangakas, who now are very sad with the loss of one of the biggest story tellers in the world.

Thank you for everything, Toriyama sensei.

May your soul rest in peace 🕊️

I can't sleep... Again.

So I did this post in Spanish last time but... I have to say this here too.

I wrote some babbling about Brother Petros that I wanted to share with you, but I did it in Spanish, trying to find out if there are some people who want to read about Trinity Blood in Spanish and as it was rebloged (thanks really!) I will post this soon, but of course, I want to do it in English as well, and I don't know if I can post them together or not, since all the text in Spanish is ready. I have to rewrite that in English, I don't suggest you to use the translator for it because I used some untranslatable words and it may be a weird experience 🤣🤣🤣 So I will write something more appropriate in English soon.

In more interesting news I want to post the next part of the translation, but it will be after I finish some cosplay projects I have to accomplish before May 20.

If my head haven't exploded yet, maybe it could be possible to upload it sooner. I hope so. ✨

Maybe all the stress from past YEARS suddenly decided to hit me now so I had some fever and I had to get some vitamins and painkillers to get well 💉😖, so... I have to take it easy with stuff, and of course, take better care of me, even if sometimes I feel that is difficult, but I trust everything is going to be fine :3

I'm really excited for this year because I want to do lots of things even if my body is not making it easy to me XD

Paintings by Shibamoto from the Trinity Blood Stories Untold book, that came out I believe in 2005. A year after Yoshida's passing. I translated these the best I could. Honestly, I don't think the last painting with Lilith is talking about Abel, I feel its Cain. Would make since. once upon a time Cain was a good man, who was loved by all and did his best to help the human race and protect his family and Lilith alike. Even if he held just as much resentment towards humanity as Abel. He chose to handle it a better way. I wouldn't be surprised if she was secretly in love with him. I don't ship it though. It fits with Yoshida's writing style. Many beautiful women in love with Abel, he's in love with a woman who secretly hates his guts and who is secretly in love with a man who can't love anymore. All of these are inspired off of events that might have happened if the series had kept going. Not moments of scenes that were to happen. Seth and Lilith's wings aren't canon. Since there not in the books. Just Shibamoto's ideas of what they might have wanted them to look like.

I still cannot believe it.

I'm lucky enough to be able to go see DIRU on the European tour in March. I thought, I hoped, I was convinced that, sooner or later, it would be Buck-Tick's turn too. On the other hand, being an adult also allows you to travel, have financial independence and be able to do crazy things to attend the shows of the bands you love most. I opened social media this morning and couldn't believe it. During a concert, he suffered a cerebral hemorrhage and died in hospital shortly afterwards. If you follow my account, you know and see that I mainly post VK themed fanart. Drawing Atsushi has always given me immense joy, his face has always been adorable to draw, so unique, proportionate, a true marvel. This fanart is the result of an entire afternoon of tears. I started it again several times and I didn't even intend to finish it, the pain I was and am still feeling was so bad. Repaying the beauty that art brings with just as much art is seriously the only thing I can do right now. Thanks for everything Atsushi.

My heart is so broken... 💔

Rest in Peace Atsushi Sakurai... Today the world learned about the sad loss of one of the greatest stars of Japanese Rock. His brilliant career spanned four decades and he was still innovating and performing until the day he left us at the age of 57. I have been a big fan of Atshushi Sakurai and his band BUCK TICK for the past 10 years. This song is dedicated to this musical genius. My good friend Tom Marcy and I used to listen to this song in college, so listening to this brings back a lot of memories.

Today we woke up with sad news. 💔

On October 19th, 2023, after a concert, the vocalist of Buck Tick, Atsushi Sakurai died.

They didn't publish anything until today (actually, last night).

This is one big loss for music.

Maybe we all listened Buck Tick because of the opening of Trinity Blood, Nightwalker or XXXHolic. It have been 35 years of great music, so many good songs and most of it, many good memories.

I don't really have words for this, I have been crying since I heard the news but it was necessary to do a tribute to Mr Sakurai for all the beauty he left in this world.

I'm crying while hearing that mesmerizing voice, in our hearts will keep his beauty for the rest of our lives.

May his soul rest in peace. 🕊️
