How do you pick your color palette? I've seen a few of your pieces and the colors are so vibrant

TY for the ask!! :D I used to do a lot of restricted palette art, but nowadays I really just freehand pick!

For pixelart, vibrancy works really well, meaning that a lot of my main colors for a piece (things that are the focus) will be really bright! (Meaning on the little color picking square, it will be near the top!)

And also, the saturation will stay mostly towards the middle to the right of the square, meaning at least 50% saturation. As I put in background elements (trees, atmospheric dithering, etc.) I can lower saturation to blend things in like that far back row of trees! But they generally never go below 50% saturation.

tl;dr pick colors from the top right of the palette square shown below!

50%+ saturation

50%+ brightness (aka value)

It's a pretty simple combination, but can be found in most of my works! Ofc a more darker piece wouldn't benefit from this as much, and it's definitely not a hard rule, but I hope this info helps :D
