Harlean Carpenter was born in 1911, in Kansas City, MO. She was Hollywood's first Blonde Bombshell. Harlean changed her name to her beloved Mother's name Jean Harlow. Her and her mother "Mother Jean" were inseparable. She was 1930s Platinum Blonde. Her popularity was as big as any other star of her time, Loy, Garbo, Davis.... She was actually the most popular. She married 3 times. First as a teenager. Then to a man that committed suicide. Another was her camera man...a stunt from the studio to help her image..it soon ended in divorce. William Powell was the love of her life, but he would never marry her. It broke her heart. 1937 was the year she fell ill while filming Saratoga with Clark Gable. She would never finish the movie. She died June 7, 1937 at Good Samaritan Hospital, her mother and Powell by her side. She died from uremic poisoning. She was only 26 years old. 馃挏
