Peinture exposée lors d'un concours representant que des femmes artistes de peinture/sculpture en juillet dernier. Pas gagnante. Le thème imposé fut l'agriculture d'hier et d'aujourd'hui. Je trouvais qu'il était plus important de parler de l'agriculture d'aujourd'hui. Les productions massives pour nourrir les 8 milliards d'humains (et encore pas tous), le fait de l'utilisation des pesticides et Ogm qui tue la faune et la flore, le calibrage des fruits et légumes imposé en commerce dont perte de production et gaspillage alimentaire, les conflits entre les nations pour s'octroyer l'eau, le problème du climat, etc. Tout cela représenté avec Dame Nature et sa corne d'abondance qui laisse échapper des denrées pourrissantes. Je suis bien consciente que ma technique en peinture semble bien faible comparé à d'autres artistes sur les réseaux sociaux. Il y a des artistes bien plus talentueux que moi. Mais lors de ce concours, j'ai vécu un déséquilibre entre les concurentes. Beaucoup de mes consœurs avaient certes une technique plus académique et classique mais dans leur tableau, je ne trouvais aucunement le thème qui a été imposé et comme dans un plat, il manquait du sel. Alors ce n'est juste que mon humble avis, après tout l'art n'est que subjectif avant d'être objectif. Et quand au goût et aux couleurs, on ne peut discuter. Après pour en dire autant sur celles qui ont gagné, ces dernières ont juste eu pour mission de peindre des vaches. Me serais-je trop trituré l'esprit pour évoquer un argument ou une discussion constructif autour de mon art alors que ces dernières ont fait simplement du beau, du bien et du bon? Ce concours représentait Hélène Bertaux. Une sculptrice féministe du XIX eme siècle qui s'est battu pour que les femmes puissent rentrer dans les écoles d'art et qu'elles puissent devenir aussi sculptrice tout comme leurs confrères à cette epoque. Ce concours était fort en messages, on pouvait évoquer pas mal d'idées. Pour moi quand on parle de féminisme, je pense toujours au mot innovation, plus qu'au mot égalité, je pense au mot équité pour l'autre. Voilà ce que me fait penser le mot féminisme. Déception mais une bonne expérience.

"Painting exhibited during a competition representing only female painting/sculpture artists last July. Not winning. The imposed theme was the agriculture of yesterday and today. I thought it was more important to talk about agriculture today. The massive productions to feed the 8 billion humans (and still not all), the fact of the use of pesticides and GMOs which kills the fauna and flora, the grading of fruits and vegetables imposed on trade including loss of production and food waste, conflicts between nations over water, the climate problem, and others... All this represented with Mother Nature and her cornucopia which lets out rotting foodstuffs. I am well aware that my technique in painting seems very weak compared to other artists on social networks. There are artists much more talented than me. But during this competition, I experienced an imbalance between the competitors. Many of my colleagues certainly had a more academic and classic technique, but in their painting, I couldn't find the theme that was imposed and, like in a dish, missed something tastier. So it's just my humble opinion, after all art is only subjective before it's objective. And when the taste and colors, we can't discuss. Afterwards, to say the same about those who won, they just had the mission of painting cows. Would I have tormented my mind too much to evoke an argument or a constructive discussion around my art when the latter have simply been beautiful, nice and good? This competition represented Hélène Bertaux. A feminist sculptor of the 19th century who fought so that women could enter art schools and so that they could also become a sculptor just like their colleagues at that time. This contest was strong in messages, we could evoke a lot of ideas. For me when we talk about feminism, I always think of the word innovation, more than the word equality, I think of the word equity for the other. This is what the word feminism makes me think of. Disappointing but good experience."
