It's the same thing that always happens. Everyone wants to save the world, they just disagree on how.

Get radiation poisoneeeeddd ☢☠ ft. one of the npcs from @jennystahl's and my (future) fallout denver rp TW..... Caesar's Legion... so sadly Legion-typical things, women suffering but it's nothing graphic or disturbing
The little vial contained a strange powder, glowing green against the deep red of the wine as Servilia emptied its contents into the goblet. She gave it a few stirs for good measure, watching as it slowly dissolved and became one with the liquid.
“Servilia,” Caesar called from behind her, impatiently. She returned to his bedside, smiling sweetly, the empty vial now hidden within her toga. He was dressed again when she handed him the goblet, wearing a white tunica—an old pre-war shirt by the looks of it, repurposed in a futile attempt to copy the real thing.
Servilia sat in his lap and watched as he downed the wine greedily. How she wished he’d choke on it.
Caesar handed the cup back to her and Servilia smiled, standing to set it on a table by two large open doors that led to the balcony. “There’s a box on that table,” Caesar said. “Open it.”
Indeed, a small wooden box sat next to where she had put the empty goblet. Servilia opened it, careful not to catch any splinters on the old wood. Inside was a necklace with a black pendant—a stone, or perhaps glass, shaped like a tear. She took it from its wooden container and held it up, watching how the setting sun’s light glinted upon its surface, how the reflections danced on the wall behind it.
“Put it on,” he commanded softly and she obeyed. The stone was pitch-black against the white flesh upon her collarbones, something simultaneously unnatural and beautiful. She wished there was a mirror nearby so that she could see herself, how the obsidian-colored pendant must have stood out against her milky skin and pale blonde hair.
Caesar came up behind her, reaching around to take the pendant between two fingers, pulling with enough pressure so that the necklace was straining against the back of her neck ever so slightly.
“Have you ever heard of Servilia’s pearl?” Caesar asked, his gaze fixed on the black pendant. She shook her head.
“It’s said that my namesake, the first Caesar, gave it to his Servilia. A single black pearl, the most expensive gem in history.”
Servilia eyed the black gem. It was certainly no pearl, nor did it look very expensive, not in the way that jewels always looked in pre-war advertisements. “You look like Venus herself,” Caesar said, with his eyes still fixed on the pendant that was tight in his grip as the back of the necklace cut into her skin.
She wondered what the real pearl must have looked like, and about Caesar—the real Caesar—and his Servilia. He must have loved her dearly for him to give her such a precious gift, and perhaps she had truly loved him back. Men like her Caesar did not love. He lived to conquer, to rule men and women with an iron fist. He might play at things like love and feign tenderness, but the precious necklace was a leash just like any other, Servilia reminded herself. But he could die, just like other men could. She would only have to be patient.
“It’s beautiful. Thank you,” she said with her gaze lowered.
Caesar smiled and dropped the pendant, and Servilia rubbed the sore spot at the back of her neck. “Now go, I’m getting a headache. If you see Graham on your way out send him here, to discuss battle plans so I can get this over with.”
Servilia nodded and left wordlessly as she always did. The praetorian guard outside the door paid her no mind as she walked through the halls of Caesar’s villa, and when there was no one who could to see her, she smiled to herself.
