Hi, idk if you're still having this problem but to get past the riddle battle I made a team of my 4 best cards HP wise and then picked the highest level support offered. Every time I failed I'd just loop some lessons and level the 4 cards up by at least 1 level each (side note: would advise taking lessons as soon as your LPs recharge so you don't get frustrated when a chapter is rank blocked). Should get you through it.

I can't defeat Overblot Riddle, help.

I'm legit stuck on Riddle's overblot battle. I've used Grim, Ace, and Deuce has my guest character for at least 4 times each, leveled up my cards (especially my water and Foral ones), ranked up, brought specific cards from Sam just for duo magic, and yet I still can't beat overblot Riddle.

I don't want to fall way behind on the story, and I want to unlock the exam thing so can anyone give me some advice on how they defeated him? Thanks!

If I choose to redo a guy's route that I'm already like 75% through from the start, will I have to re-pass all of the avatar challenges? I'm considering doing it for either Vincent or Mozart while I try and get enough diamonds to clear Arthur's chapter 24, but not if I have to do all of that again :/

Of course! Thank you for the ask :) I’ve already done a Just Dance headcanon, so I’ll just be doing it with regular 21st century dancing. Some modern tech is mentioned, but it’s under the assumption that it was on you when you got to the mansion.

It’s early in the morning and he walks in on you cleaning whilst dancing around the room with upbeat music blasting from a portable speaker

You hadn’t noticed him, so he just stands in the doorway and watches you, and he’s honestly impressed with how on beat your movement is

You turn around and stop dead in your tracks when you see him and he just smirks at you

“Come on luv, when were you gonna tell me you could move like that?”

You explain to him that it’s very popular to dance like you did in the 21st century and of course he asks you to teach him

Hope you didn’t have any plans, because he’s not letting you leave until he can get as on-beat as you

You were sat with him while he painted and you were getting kinda bored, so you put your earphones in and shuffled some songs

Lying down on his couch listening to them was enough for a bit, but when one of your favourite songs came on you couldn’t resist getting up and dancing to it

Vincent double taked from behind his canvas and stopped mid-stroke to look at you (he might not have even noticed you’d moved had the floorboards not creaked as you danced)

You saw him looking and just carried on as he chuckled at your energy, and when the song stopped he asked if you could dance more for him

Finds it very different to what he’s used to, but is extremely entertained

Sees you dancing in the hall one day when you think nobody’s watching and is extremely confused

“Oi, Hondje, what the hell are you doing?”

You have some videos of 21st century dancing on your phone, so you show him and he just gives you a raised eyebrow

Pretends he’s not interested and like he’s seen enough, but for the next few days he’ll try his hardest to catch you dancing again

He actually admires the style but he won’t ever admit it

When he hears from Vincent that you dance for him and learns that you taught Arthur how to do it, he’s gonna be so mad and will put his pride aside and ask you to dance for him too.

Was just chilling eating a sandwich in the dining room having a break from his work when you came in dancing unannounced

Casually watches you while he eats and wonders how you’re managing to shuffle so fast on the floor and not fall over

You turn around breathing heavily and ask if he likes the dancing and he just shrugs and says “I thought it was alright, yes”

Both of you forget about the encounter for the next couple days until he sees you dancing in the garden this time

He goes up and asks what style of dance it is so you show him a little more and he starts to enjoy and understand it

May ask to learn it when he hears that Arthur got to have you as a teacher

Napoleon

The only guy who doesn’t actually look stupid doing the dances

Forces Sebastian to do the two player dances with him

Absolute natural at the game, has over half of the high scores on all of the songs available

Pays for Just Dance Unlimited

He really likes all of the ABBA songs but refuses to let anyone play Waterloo (for obvious reasons), but his favourite is ‘Moskau’ by Dschinghis Khan

Mozart

He’s decent at the game but doesn’t enjoy it at all

Most of the time he just sits and watches, claiming that the dances look too stupid and don’t properly match the timing of the music

DESPISES the one player dances, at least he can make a joke out of it if someone else is up there with him

His favourite song to dance to (provided he’s convinced to join) is ‘that POWER’ by Justin Bieber and Will.i.am because that’s very on beat

Leonardo

Okay, we all know he can’t dance, so at first he’s not too hot on the idea of playing this game

However, a certain golden pureblood convinced him to give it a go

Talk about a heel-face-turn, he absolutely lives for the ridiculousness of it

Likes how you don’t have to necessarily be a good dancer to get good scores on it (his are always ok/good, he gets so excited when it says excellent.)

Absolutely kills ‘Bang Bang’ by Nicki Minaj, Jessie J and Ariana Grande

Arthur

Oh christ, what have we unleashed

Wasn’t overly confident about it until he saw Dazai rope Isaac into a game and realised that it was a whole new style of physicist-teasing

Got into it on his own after forcing Isaac to do ‘What Does the Fox Say’ and ended up loving it even more

Unlike Mozart, his favourite dances are the single player ones and he sometimes adds in a death drop at the end depending on the song

Favourite song is ‘Footloose’

Vincent

He tries, oh does he try

Poor bb has no hand eye co-ordination whatsoever

His arms and legs are all over the place but he enjoys it anyway and has a laugh about how bad he is

His scores are all either x’s or ok’s

Theo will absolutely never refuse a 2 person dance with him

His favourite song is the Macarena

Theo

Hates the game, great at the scores

Groans every single time someone drags him up (unless it’s his brother)

His favourite dances are the ones made out of meme/joke songs because then it’s very obvious that the dance is satire

Even though he complains the whole time, his score is still 5 stars at the end and nearly every move is perfect

Best song is ‘Let it Go’

Dazai

Absolutely LEAPT at the opportunity to get first play on it

A funky game about dancing and you get to run around like a headless chicken and still win? Sign him and a very grumpy Isaac up!

Dragged the physicist up to do ‘Timber’ by Ke$ha with him

Tried to get Arthur up too but he insisted that he’d look dumb doing it alone and Theo refused to be Arty’s partner

Obsessed with the game and the third best player, behind Napoleon and Theo

His favourite song is ‘Waka Waka’ by Shakira (the football version specifically)

Isaac

This game has ruined his life and he hates everyone in the mansion for making him play it

If he’s actually physically playing the game, one of the authors has dragged him into it

Normally he just sits there with the remote and swings one arm, and his scores are always pretty good

Second worst co-ordination, Vincent’s just that little bit more flail-y than Isaac

Best song is the 8-bit cover of ‘In the Hall of the Mountain King’

Jean

It’s a game about dancing? like THAT? he’s out

Okay, he played one game when everyone else had gone to bed and now he secretly plays at night, but all of the residents know about it and pretend to be oblivious

Come on Jean, they can hear the music in bed when you have it set to 100

Decent at the game, but the eyepatch messes up his sync with the onscreen dancer a bit and it’s his downfall

Unbelievably good at Rasputin. His legs just don’t tire out and they’re ridiculously efficient at supporting his weight during the squats

Shakespeare

Even though the game’s at Comte’s mansion, he still gets ample time to play it when he visits because the residents like to see him do stupid dances

Sells the more dramatic and slower single player dances far better than anyone else on this whole list

Absolute natural at the game, but this is probably amplified by the fact that Vincent is his usual partner and anyone would look good next to him

Helps Vinc with the moves and likes to (quite literally) hand hold him through the game which makes Theo FURIOUS

Best song is ‘Fame’

Saint-Germain

Rarely plays this game and if he does it’s a two person dance with Leo

It’s not that he’s not good or that he thinks it’s dumb, he just doesn’t really like doing it

Politely refuses to do any dances that have costumed characters on (y’know, the ones in the animal suits)

Always dramatically takes off his longcoat and blazer and rolls up his sleeves before dancing

Likes to dance to ‘Animals’ by Martin Garrix because his shoes make it very easy to slide around really smoothly on the floor

Sebastian

Once again, his game, he got it for observational purposes

Did NOT expect to be roped in as much as the residents have

They all feel bad that he never gets involved with them so they force him to do all of it with him

On the moves where one person picks the other up but you don’t actually have to do them, Napoleon will always without fail scoop Sebas up effortlessly and the historian blushes every time

Has another, whole separate notebook for this game

He likes to do the ‘You’re On My Mind’ mashup song from 2015 because it’s a mix of all of the dances and he can never seem to pick one

His favourite game is that spin off one where you get all the money and stuff

He really likes the minigames that involve horses

The first time he played it he insisted he didn’t need to use the wii remote strap but Comte made him use it afterwards because he flung the remote too hard and it hit Jean in the face

Mozart

Man DESPISES playing this game

Has no idea how to use the wii remote

Is last every time and then insists that his remote is broken

Him and Jean have the best score on friend connection

Leonardo

Absolutely LOVES globe trot and gets all the photo ops on it

Is always really gentle with the remote meaning he loses all the games that involve shaking it really fast

Usually sits back and just watches the others play with Comte

Arthur

Everyone hates him because he always wins

Him and theo have the WORST score on friend connection

Surprisingly good at that one minigame where you have to stop walking at the right distance but you just gotta guess where it is

Vincent

He usually ends up around 3rd place, 2nd if he’s lucky

Not really very good at the game but better than Mozart because at least he acknowledges how bad he is

Always gets the helping hand thingies on board game island that throw you further forward

Theo

Sore loser

Insists that Arthur is cheating

Likes globe trot the best as well as Leo (but unlike Leo, he’s not good at it)

Favourite minigame is the one where you have to count how many people are on the bus simply because he doesn’t have to swing the remote on that one (one time he crushed it because he was raging too hard)

Dazai

Wheezes at Isaac the entire game

Likes the game where you have to find out who the cheater is (and is extremely good at cheating)

Can get out of the volcano on board game island the fastest

Isaac

He’s stuck in the volcano the whole time. He’ll get out, celebrate, get thrown back into it immediately and then yell at Dazai for laughing.

“Wh- Dazai- what in god’s name- how did you get out so fast? I’ve been stuck here for five turns!”

VERY good at balance boat and the zombie minigame

Jean

Someone help this poor bb he’s so scared of this game bc Napoleon gave him nightmares

He’s actually amazing at it when he’s convinced to play though, he knows exactly how much weight he has to put into shaking the remote and wins every time

Does play with Mozart on his own a lot, hence why they have the best friend connection score and not Vincent and Theo

Shakespeare

Has never played this game and never will (pun not intended)

The wii’s at Comte’s house and every time he tries to play it with Vincent he’s stopped by Theo :(

One time Vincent did manage to smuggle the wii to Will’s house but he was more interested in playing Mariokart

Comte

Doesn’t like to actually play, just sits on the nearest couch and monitors his kid’s behaviour

Will force Arthur to stop playing so everyone else can have a chancet at winning

Every time someone hits a country he’s been to on Globe Trot he starts remeniscing and rambling about what he did while he was there

Sebastian

It’s his wii, and he got it for observational purposes

Had to get a special diary for when the residents play because his other one was filling up too fast

The only one that didn’t laugh when Jean got hit in the face

He watches Napoleon play a little too closely
