Solidarity to anyone else that is having trouble making art when the world is a total dumpster fire.

It isn't even a lack of desire to make art or art block for me this time. It's legit just "it's hard to draw my silly little shit when multiple genocides are concurring (some with my tax money) and my government is trying it's best to take away all my rights and kill people like me or my loved ones".

Anyway, I really didn't want to center myself during a time of such great strife because complaining about feeling guilty for making dumb art when such important terrible things are happening feels gross. Which is why it took me so long to post this. But as this is my art account and I am making no art I felt compelled to mention why.

Decided to try and do a classical study to pull me out of art slump. Maiden in Contemplation by Gaston de La Touche. Original below. It was actually very soothing to do this. I feel like it would have been a good time to use the time lapse function in CSP but I completely forgot till I was almost done. :,) I will remember one of these days.
