Jesus had a simple request for Peter, James, and John in the Garden of Gethsemane, and that was to watch and pray ( Matthew 26:41). But they were sleeping instead of praying. I think the disciples’ lack of prayer resulted in fear due to which they abandoned their Saviour and friend. . Think about it: Sometimes we too can be overwhelmed by the circumstances around us, that it’s hard for us to even pray.  It’s  been said that if your knees start knocking, kneel on them. Jesus knew that a crisis was coming. Certainly the disciples could see that He was in obvious anguish. All Jesus was asking from Peter, James, and John was “Just watch and pray. JESUS knew that the disciples would yield to the temptation of the evil one  But twice when Jesus went back to check on them, they were sleeping. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 says, “Pray without ceasing."Has your prayer life been lacking lately? Begin to do what you did at first. Go to the Lord in prayer. You need Him now more than ever.

God is faithful, trust in Him.

Deuteronomy 7:9—"Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; He is the faithful God, keeping His covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love Him and keep His commands.”
In this world of ceaseless change, God is the only constant. As Moses declared, “He is the faithful God.”
God’s faithfulness means, everything He says and does is certain. That means He is 100% reliable. He does not fail, forget or falter.
2 Corinthians 1:20 says that “no matter how many promises God has made, they are ‘Yes’ in Christ…to the glory of God.”
Do you feel overwhelmed by your circumstances? Stand on God’s promises—and do not let yourself be moved.
God is faithful …!

“We must not get tired of doing good. We will receive our harvest of eternal life at the right time. We must not give up.” ~Galatians 6:9
Remember to not give up. No matter how hard it seems or how hard it may be right now don’t give up. You may feel like you are going through so much and you may have been fighting for too long but don’t give up. Don’t give up. Keep praying and pushing and trusting the Lord. God hasn’t forgotten you. He knows what you’re going through and He sees. God has plan so trust in Him. Remember to always walk in obedience to God and listen to His voice. God speaks so listen and obey Him. Pray for the Holy Spirit to fill your heart with God’s Word. God bless. 🙏🏼✝️❤️

“The devil doesn’t care if you go to church or read your Bible, as long as you don’t apply it to your life.”
This is so true and the Bible even tells us that we are not only to listen to the Word of God but we are to put it into practice. Remember to never just listen to God’s Word but practice what is says, apply it to your life daily and do what it teaches you.
“Do not deceive yourselves by just listening to His Word; instead put it into practice.” ~James 1:22
Read more in James 1:23-25
“So then, anyone who hears these words of mine and obeys them is like a wise man who built his house on rock. The rain poured down, the rivers overflowed, and hard win blew against that house. But it did not fall, because it was built on rock.” ~Matthew 8:24-25
But if you don’t put into practice what is in God’s Word we see what happens in Matthew 8:26-27.
Practice God’s Word and don’t just listen to it.

Do not be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. Depart from all evil and sin and return to the Lord God. Repent and turn to God. Sin is a killer. Sin flatters to deceive and sin will always take more from you than you are willing to give. Sin brings forth death.

“Therefore say to them, Thus says the Lord of hosts, ‘Return to Me,’ declares the Lord of hosts, ‘that I may return to you,’ says the Lord of hosts.” Zechariah 1:3.
Repent and return to the Lord your God.
The Bible tells us that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. One of the most amazing things that happens when we are broken is that God draws near to us. During those moments when we feel like our world has been turned upside down we get to experience God in such an amazing, personal, and intimate way. We get to experience God and feel and acknowledge His presence in our lives in such a tangible way. We feel the Father draw nigh to us and we get to experience His love, we feel His hand holding us, we get to experience His sustaining power. God loves us and He does not leave us; when we need Him most He is there with us, when we call upon His name He reveals Himself to us, when we ask Him to speak to us He does speak to us. God is indeed near to the brokenhearted. When we are in a state of brokenness – in that state where we tell God we need Him, in that state when we tell God we cannot make it without Him, in that state when we tell God we are nothing without Him, in that state when we admit to God that we are weak and that we need Him so much, in that state where we confess that He alone is God and He alone is in control, in that state when we surrender and say to Him that may His will be done; during those seasons, God draws near. He becomes our comforter, He speaks to us, He reveals Himself to us in amazing ways. Those who have experienced it know it to be true.
Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. Psalm 34:19.
God loves us. He is our refuge. When we put our trust in Him nothing can shake us because we rest in Him, our fortress. God is not far from us. He tells us to seek Him and we will find Him. We have to have a hunger for God; we cannot be engrossed in the pleasures and worries of this world and expect that a relationship with God will develop automatically. We have to be involved, we have to seek God, we have to obey His commandments, we have to be willing to give up our will and purpose to follow and obey God’s will. We were created for worship, to worship God alone, He is the only One who can save us, the only One who can satisfy us. God created us, He loves us, and He is ready to be found by those who earnestly seek Him.
From one man He made every nation of men, to inhabit the whole earth; and He determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their land. God intended that they would seek Him and perhaps reach out for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us. Acts 17:26-27.
In God we live and move and have our being. God is near to us, He is a God who desires to have a personal relationship with us if we allow Him. He will not force Himself on us.
The Lord is near to us. We should not live lives of just knowing about God, we should live a life whereby we know God personally. Through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ we were given the authority, we can approach God the Father through Jesus Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit. The Bible tells us to draw near to God and He will draw near to us.
“Therefore say to them, Thus says the Lord of hosts, ‘Return to Me,’ declares the Lord of hosts, ‘that I may return to you,’ says the Lord of hosts.” Zechariah 1:3.
Blessings.

Life is short. The time to prepare for eternity is now. Tomorrow is not promised. We do not know what will happen between now and the next minute. Life can change in an instant. What we consider normal now in our lives can change at any moment. Every day we hear of disasters striking, we hear of accidents happening, we hear of people being diagnosed with various diseases and illnesses, we hear of people who have passed away, some of whom we had seen just moments prior.
Life here on earth is not permanent. We are just passers-by on this earth. No one knows when their day of leaving this earth will come.
No one knows what the next minute of their life holds. It is therefore wise to prepare for eternity. Many people’s plans for the future have come crushing down because of events that have occurred.
Some people have placed their hope on their jobs, then when they lose those jobs their world changes. Some have placed their hope in their power, or fame, or money, then when they lose all that they become disillusioned and many give up in the process. There are others who have placed their hope in their health, in their family, in their family connections, in their country, and such like, only to have everything they ever placed their hope on disappoint them and fail them.
Come now, you that say, today or tomorrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: whereas you know not what shall be tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor, that appears for a little time, and then vanishes away. For you ought to say, if the Lord wills, we shall live, and do this, or that. James 4:13-15.
How are you living your life? Is your life spent pursuing money, fame, power, admiration and acceptance from people, climbing up the social or career ladder, accumulating properties, pursuing relationships, following worldly trends, pursuing the world’s definition of beauty, and such like things? Where and what are your priorities?
There is nothing wrong with money and having riches, but if that is your primary motivator, if that is what drives you, then your priorities are misplaced. Things of this world have no eternal significance unless they are done for God’s glory. Only what is done for God lasts forever. Prepare for eternity.
Many people live their lives pursuing money and pleasures of this world, only for them to reach the end of life and regret how they lived their lives.
Many people have no time for God, they spend all their time pursuing everything else except God. Others go as far as claiming that God does not exist, others say they can do whatever they want because it is their life, others do not acknowledge God in any area of their lives.
The Word of God asks, “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own life? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his life?” Mark 8:36-37.
What are you trading your soul with? Many people live reckless lives. Many people live their lives as if this world is all there is. Many people have traded eternity with money, fame, power, and many other things of the world that eventually amount to nothing when all is said and done.
Do you know that your soul is invaluable? No money in this world can amount to how valuable a human soul is. That is why the cost paid for the salvation of a human soul was extremely high, a cost that no human being could pay. God gave His only Son to die for our sins, so that through Jesus Christ, who lived a sinless life that none of us could ever live, we might be saved.
For He has made Him, who knew no sin, to be sin for us; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. 2 Corinthians 5:21.
Nothing in this world is more valuable than your soul. Do not trade eternal life with fleeting things of this world, because if you do, you will regret it for eternity.
If we are not living our lives for God, then we have missed the mark. If what we are doing or what we are pursuing is more important to us than God, then we have missed the mark, and when we do so, then that leads to the wide path that ends in eternal damnation. The Word of God tells us to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.
But seek you first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33.
When we seek God first, then all else is added unto us. Whatever we need in this life is found in God. If anyone told you that you have to go outside of God to get anything you need, then that person deceived you. In addition, if in order to get something you have to go outside of God, then that thing should not be in your life.
Anything or anyone that requires you to sin in order to get something is not of God. Things acquired in a sinful manner only lead to pain and are not worth it.
The blessing of the Lord, it makes rich, and He adds no sorrow with it. Proverbs 10:22.
The time to prepare for eternity is now. Do not be like the people who say that they will get saved in the future after they have experienced all the pleasures of the world. You do not know what the future holds. The next minute is not promised. Anything can happen between now and tomorrow.
There are people who were alive yesterday, probably they were even in good health, yet, today they are no more. A wise person lives as if today is their last day. A wise person lives each day prepared. A wise person lives for God. Spend your time pursuing God. Let God be number one in your life. Prepare for eternity.
Never compromise your faith in God because of anything in this world, it is never worth it.
The consequences of compromising are too severe; may none of us learn the hard way. May God help us to live a holy life, to live righteous lives, and pursue peace with all men. May God help us and open our eyes that we may clearly see and not fall into the deceptive systems of this world. Always be alert, remain sober, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, fear God and obey His commandments. Prepare for eternity.
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep His commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. Ecclesiastes 12:13.
My brothers and sisters, please don’t say tomorrow or a next time, give your lives to Jesus Christ and live your life for the God’s glory and honor. Live for God because any life not lived for God isn’t worth it. Don’t live a carnal life. Repent and live for God. God loves you and so do I. God bless. 🙏🏼✝️❤️

God expects us to love our neighbours as ourselves (Romans 13:9). If we have received God's forgiveness and salvation, God wants us to be His witnesses (Acts 1:8). Loving our neighbours implies a concern primarily for their spiritual needs, but does not exclude their other needs. God has said, "I want you to share your food with the hungry and help the helpless, poor and destitute. Clothe those who are cold and don't hide from relatives who need your help. If you do these things, God will shed His own glorious light upon you....Then when you call, the Lord will answer. 'Yes, I am here.' He will quickly reply. All you need to do is to stop oppressing the weak, and to stop making false accusations and spreading vicious rumours! Feed the hungry! Help those in trouble! Then your light will shine out from the darkness, and the darkness around you shall be as bright as day. And the Lord will guide you continually." (Isaiah 58:7-11 - TLB). God delights to deliver those who are unselfishly concerned with the needs of others.
