With the lands that his journey spanned to increasing, there were shorter stays nowadays in the nations that he had started out in. Those stays were shorter more out of necessity rather than willingness, so when he had finished up on a rare commission right here at the Wangshu Inn and had promptly been urged to stay a night free of charge, the traveler gave absolutely no resistance. Besides, Paimon went immediately into talks about the various mouthwatering dishes that Yanxiao was capable of cooking up and trying to argue against food that was both available and without caveats was a task that didn’t feel like accomplishing today. 

Letting Paimon fulfill her self appointed ‘quality control’ duties, Aether quickly excused himself to their room to put away some of the heavier items in his pack and work at settling in for the night. There were already a handful of commissions for the next day that had already caught his attention and briefly, he entertained the notion of looking them before deciding that this was a task to be done on a full stomach. With a stretch and yawn, he turned to head towards the door, accidentally colliding with the yaksha with enough force to push the both of them back some. 

“Oh - sorry ‘bout that Xiao, I didn’t see-”

Hold on - hold on just a second here! It had definitely just a party of himself and Paimon, then just himself just now!

             The curious bit about all of this was that in truth, Xiao had no idea what the whole deal with giving chocolates on this particular day was— sure, he vaguely had an idea about this particular holiday because of all of his years surrounding the outskirts of Liyue, however he’s never actually taken participation in it in the past, so all this time he’s been doing nothing but barely observing from the distance as Venti kept receiving some chocolates here and there.

He now huffs a little, a light frown appearing on his features as he takes a step closer to Venti, only to then open his jaw and—   ❝ Now what is making you think I want chocolates ❞   CHOMP.   ❝ You can keep them, I don’t care. ❞   Chocolates weren’t nearly as chewy as his cheek anyways-

So! FIRST OF ALL, I yelled about this on my other blog BUT I FINALLY GOT XIAO! So I’ve been pretty much screaming about it all this time and running around as him; that aside, before getting him as I was desperate for primos, I actually finally did his character quest myself and that helped me to finally wake up my inspiration for him again,,, truth be told is that I adore him as a character and have been wanting to write on him again for the longest time but I couldn’t wrap my head around for inspiration, but now my brain is filled with ideas and i’m just vibrating so, with all of this I just wanted to pop and say that maybe u’ll see me more around here- I just really miss him !
