People try to put down Jily because James was horrid to Sev and yes I agree.. but imagine being Lily.. your best friend betrays you for your oppressors who hate your very existence, your sister too hates you for your very existence and you seem to have no place where you are fully accepted. And then there's this dude who has always been an immature ass.. but who stands by you like a rock against those discriminating assholes.. this guy you've always hated is the one guarding your back as you guard his on the battlefield where you're outnumbered 20 to 1... this guy who could have carried on his shitty bullying habits into the future, but instead chose to fight against the monsters who want to eradicate you when your own best friend left you for them... this guy who loves every bit of you from the magic to the non-magic and to your very bones he worships the hell out of you... he will die for you and he does.

I don't know man, but that level of character development is an understandable reason to marry a dude ❤

Actually no I’m so not done talking about how rigged the quell was. Because I’ve seen people referring to it as “hunger games all stars.” That was 1000% intentional. Not only is it these weirdly coincidental duos that are reaped together (even from districts with tons of victors). For instance, a brother and sister duo, and two different known couples- it’s ALSO people who won their own games by extraordinary means. It IS the all stars, anyone who poses the biggest threat to the capitol. To eliminate all but one would be to eliminate any threat of the capitol’s fall. All of them arguably have the most reason for rebellion as well- it was a truly genius move that probably would’ve worked if it weren’t for Plutarch’s plan.

The Art of Brewing

James Potter had always thought of himself as a pretty lucky bloke, but as he tried to keep Lily Evans, the love of his life, away from him he realized all the luck he’d been blessed with since birth was probably starting to run out.

“Jamse- Jimsy-” Lily said before dissolving in a fit of giggles and leaning heavily on him. It was torture because even dosed on one experimental potion she’d brewed for who knew what reason she was still adorable.

“Yes, Evans?”

“I drank a love potion.” She whispered, her eyes wide and earnest and James felt awful.

“Yeah, I figured.” He looked around as he tried to keep her from embracing him. “Do you think you could go up to your dormitory?”

“But I love you.”

“Errr, that’s great.”

“The way you touch your hair really turns me on.” James chocked at that. He was never, ever going to be able to get that out of his head and he froze when she gently run her fingers through his curls, biting her lip. Lily Evans was going to be the death of him. That wasn’t a completely unfamiliar thought, but he’d assumed she would end him with a quick hex, not by looking both innocent and hauntingly sexy. He ducked as she leaned towards him and sighed with relief as he heard someone coming down from the girls’ staircase.

“There you are, Lily!” Mary exclaimed, frowning as she took in the scene.

“Please, take her.” James said with a hint of desperation and gently pushed Lily towards Mary.

“Mary, I need you to know you are my best friends in the entire world.”

“Oh, thank you, Lily.” Mary said, looking as if she was trying not to laugh. “Goodnight, James.”

James waved weakly at them, Lily’s sweet smile as she looked back at him making him feel weak in the knees.

“What’s wrong with you?” Sirius asked as they got ready for bed and James realized he’d been trying to get his leg through a sleeve of his shirt.

“Evans drank a love potion.”

“Really?”

“Oi! That’s not funny! She wasn’t herself, she was all-” Sirius raised his eyebrows and James sighed and dropped heavily on his bed. “She told me she loved me, alright? Stop laughing, Padfoot!”

“I’m sorry.” Sirius said, shaking his head. “This is amazing.”

“Oh, I’m happy you find my pain amusing!”

“What is going on?” Remus said, walking into the dorm with Peter right behind him.

“Prongs thinks Evans took a love potion.”

“I don’t think it, I know it.” James said stubbornly and Remus looked briefly at the two of them, his eyebrows knitted in confusion.

“Lily didn’t drink a love potion. The girls slipped her a bit of a batch of Veritaserum she had brewed, but it’s too strong, she can’t stop herself from telling the truth, even if no one asks her anything.”

“WHAT?!”
