Jeff from Superstore is such a character like he's literally A Guy but he makes people so uncomfortable for no reason he keeps losing his job and also he's gay

recent commission I did right after I finished watching superstore and the timing was just perfect cause I needed a reason to draw one of my favorite sitcom couples :)

Tbh it's kinda disappointing that there were two workplace sitcoms featuring talented diverse casts and really great writing out at the same time and somehow the beyond radical show about coworkers in a big boxstore that literally ended it's first season with a walk out and a workers strike saying from the very beginning with its whole chest that you should unionize, break the rules to give moms maternity leave, protect undocumented immigrants, and so much more was way less popular on this website than the one about cops

The thing about Jonah Simms is that I know exactly what the writers were thinking when they made him, he was written to be a combination of Jim from The Office and Ben from Parks and Recreation, but then Ben Feldman showed up on day one and infused the character with so much disaster bisexual malewife babygirl energy that there was just no way for anyone in the audience to read him as a straight man
