if you go by terms of how fun they are to play as:

1- hunter

my favorite slugcat for expedition and competitive mode

2- rivulet

a blast to play as due to well manageable food requirements, speed and agility and lung capacity

3- saint

don't like the ascension blast a lot but the grappling tongue makes them SO fun to play with

4- gourmand

I like gourmand :] I like crafting all kinds of random stuff as them and the meal mechanic + expanded diet can come in really handy at times

5- artificer

haha explosive cat full of calcium metal go Boom (pretty fun but I absolutely despite expeditions with them)

honorable mentions:

survivor

the most basic but the most versatile probably. very easy to handle food bar and good introduction to the game

monk

same as survivor but a little less versatile because of the reduced stats, but the food bar is also super easy to handle. really great for long and calm playthroughs

everyone recommends beef jerky for carnivore therians to eat when they have raw meat cravings but what about cured meats? lunch meat? hell even some smoked meats are safe to eat raw, and they satisfy my cravings pretty well

i get that sky's playerbase is mostly there for the cozy stuff, but i want the more morbid aspects of this game to have a place on the spotlight as well. i want something that Really entices me to explore and learn more about the really mysterious lore of this damn game
