I'm starting to really like painting with opaque brushes with less smudging!

I tried developing my brushes further with this piece, based on Alberto Mielgo's works (I know that I still have a long way to go)!

I figured that I should give #environmentpainting a try. Based on the FEMII Building in #intramuros - First art for #2021 !!! Looking forward to exploring more styles and developing my own! Here you can see me doing on-the-spot-brush-making/modifying, lighting thumbnail-ing, contrast studying, (color) style experimenting. Seeing as this is more of a personal art I think it's okay to do on the spot studying (def not recommending doing this for commissions or artworks w/ deadlines)! Happy new year to everyone!! Finishing my first batch of commissions

It’s been a while since I posted! (I really need to catch up on all my social media accounts lmao)

Our internet connection hasn’t been stable for a while so I rarely go to Tumblr. I still need to follow a lot of people since I just got back here after 7+ years?

I’m 1 commission away from finishing my first batch of commissions (with the last client still not replying so I have time)! The whole experience has been really overwhelming. I'm still processing that I've been actually earning income for doing what I love. Even when I'm still studying, developing my styles, it's just hard to believe that strangers actually like my styles and pay me to make art for them. 

I started doing commissions because our office work set up had been affected by the pandemic as well. 

I know that what I received so far was a bit underpriced but it's still not that bad for me comparing with the rate I have in my office work.

I had 7 revisions now for my rates and I got to apply the latest to a comm and I can confidently say that it's the right amount for me. Those 7 revisions came from my experiences during the first commissions.

I can't wait to accept and do more commission works with my new rates! I know it's going to be harder to get clients because of the increase but it's what I think is fair for my time and skills!

I used to be an active user here on Tumblr 7-8 years ago but I stopped (along with doing arts) when I started studying Architecture. Last year I decided to start my new art journey.
