As someone who has studied Loki's entire life, it's your job to guard his cell at the TVA when he gets captured. Nothing is ever easy with Loki, and you should know that. You know what to do to keep him from getting under your skin and breaking your resolve, but nothing can prepare you for when it actually happens.

“You should let me go.”

You groaned, rolling your eyes. “And you should stop talking.”

“Talking is the only liberty you and your immaculate organization have granted me. I will continue to take advantage of it.”

“Take too much advantage of it and we’ll take it away,” you countered.

You weren’t looking at the prisoner behind you, but you could hear his cocky chuckle and envision the conniving look on his face when he whispered, “I’d like to see you try.”

The prisoner in question, was none other than Loki Odinson, or Loki Laufeyson, depending on which part of his timeline he was on and frankly what kind of mood he was in that day. You were pretty sure right now he was going by Laufeyson, but when Maxwell from the BR department - Being Relations, to be more specific - tried asking him, Loki just growled.

Fitting.

After a swift escape with the Tesseract, Loki practically landed in the lap of the TVA. He was well known, of course, since the TVA had labelled him a Being of High Value. He was powerful, intelligent, gifted with magic, and born of one race and raised by another, both of which being some of the strongest in existence. It made Loki a vital prisoner, a person that perhaps was worth more than a jumpsuit, handcuffs, and a few thousand years behind bars. Due to his impressive capabilities, the TVA were now considering actually adding him to the organization - under deep surveillance of course.

That was where you came in.

How could he know you as well as you knew yourself? It was eerie on occasion.

You couldn’t help but laugh at his concerned gaze, green eyes locked on yours. “Please, tell me,” he said, and you sighed. “I’ve just been…wondering.”

summary: On a brisk walk through Central Park, Loki tries earth’s hot chocolate for the very first time. 

a/n: I’m so sorry this is out so late, y’all! My schedule got super packed with schoolwork.

Walking alongside Loki as you navigate through the busy sidewalks of New York City, a widespread smile refuses to leave your rosy face. Today was an exciting day - you decided to buy him one of your favorite delicacies for him to try for the very first time, something you’ve wanted to do for ages. 

“Okay so,” you say, glancing up at Loki, “promise me you’ll approach it with an open mind?“ 

“Darling,” Loki sighs, “if it’s something you love so dearly I really doubt I’m going to dislike it. But you know I’ll be polite about it even if I do dislike it." 

"I know, I know, it’s just- this is a tradition for me, and it’s special, and it would crush me if you didn’t at least enjoy it with me." 

Upon arrival at the entrance to Central Park, your eyes silently plead for a positive response as you lift your mug of hot chocolate up to Loki’s large hands.

He carefully grasps the mug, his porcelain skin starkly contrasting the deep brown of the mug. Praying for a good reaction, your gaze finds its way to your feet as you walk along the gravel path next to him, surrounded by the fallen autumnal leaves. 

Loki lifts the mug to his nose, inhaling deeply. His eyes fall shut at the pleasant scent of cocoa, a smile making its way onto his face. 

"Well, it certainly smells delicious,” he says, getting a nudge from your elbow. 

“Hurry up! I haven’t got all day- you’re making me anxious with all this anticipation,” you whine, stomping your foot lightly against the ground. 

Loki always was one to play such tricks on you, teasing you endlessly in even the simplest of situations. You didn’t mind it though - it kept you on your toes, and it certainly got a laugh out of the both of you whenever he pulled one of his pranks. 

With a chuckle, Loki places his lips around the edge of the mug and takes a daringly large gulp of the nearly scorching liquid chocolate. He lets it swirl in his mouth a moment before releasing a delighted hum. 

Opening his eyes, Loki tilts his head down to you, “That’s got to be one of the best beverages I’ve ever tasted, my love. Thank you." 

"Really?!” you squeal, clasping your hands together, “Aww I’m so glad you liked it! See, now you can join me every single October when they start putting out their hot chocolate." 

"I would love to,” he says, tightening his grip on the mug, “And I hate to inform you of this, but your lovely mug of hot cocoa is now mine. None for you." 

"Loki!” you exclaim, desperately jumping up to try and grab the mug from him. “At least let me have just a taste." 

Loki grins at you adoringly as he leans down, his mesmerizingly beautiful complexion inches from yours. 

"A taste, hmm?” he teases, arching an eyebrow. 

Without a bit of hesitance Loki locks his lips with yours, his kiss tasting of the hot chocolate you’d achingly waited for all year. Somehow, coming from his lips, it tasted even better. 

You let out a disappointed sigh as Loki pulls away from you, retreating back to his normal height as he continues sipping the cocoa. 

“How was that for a taste, my queen?” Loki smirks into his mug. 

“Fine for now, but I’m sure I’ll need more later,” you let your own smirk ease its way onto your face as you lock arms with your devilishly handsome prince of mischief, retreating further into the park.
