whether you know about the hotd fandom drama or not, i feel the need to speak. please safeguard of your personal information. unfortunately, some people will take advantage of your trust. i am a mere onlooker, but even then i am absolutely shell-shocked by the extreme behavior of some people in the fandom to a point where i seriously debated changing my url and deleting my account. i can only imagine how people actually going through this ordeal feels.

i mean this with the utmost care, go touch some grass. genuinely, if something in fictional fandom makes you want to hurt a real living, breathing, feeling person, log off and go touch some grass. literally, its scientifically proven to help.

Edit: I will be going on a temporary hiatus. Knowing what I know now about the ongoing fandom issues, especially about certain users, who I loved interacting with, I need to log off and touch grass myself. The fandom which caused me so much joy has now caused me great fear. I hope anyone who has found joy in my silly fics continue to do so whilst I'm gone.

I will back up what I can to AO3 with regards to my fics. I may return to them one day, I have yet to decide. I will hand over the reins of the Big Bang to Nat, and then I am gone.

I am so incredibly grateful to the people that have stuck by me and I do not want you to think I am turning my back on you, or don’t love you anymore. I would love to stay in touch over on Discord, so please feel free to DM and I will pass along my details.

For full transparency, my mental health is not in a good way. I am struggling to manage my ED and I genuinely do not feel well at all. My thoughts with regards to myself have turned incredibly dark, and the outpouring of hateful anonymous messages I have received over the last few days have dealt the final blow.

I know I could turn off anon, come back after a break, but come back to what? Everyone hates me. I have been a fandom punching bag for so long, kept a lid on stuff to avoid causing more drama than I was already involved in, tried to build a sense of community and block out the negativity by creating writing events. It hasn’t made a difference.

It got to a point where it was no longer sustainable. The hate anons I was receiving were growing increasingly out of control, I was doxxed. Nobody gives a shit. Look at how quick people were to blow past it or downplay it.

I don’t feel safe here, and if I stick around I will end up hurting myself. I am not in a good way.

I am really sorry to everyone, but you can rest in the knowledge that you finally have what you want. I’m done.
