#my father is out of the hospital however he can’t even go to the bathroom by himself or move from his chair to wheelchair #so needs constant watching and guess who gets to do that? me #I literally haven’t had an hour to myself in weeks #anyways #also looking into assisted living for him and have a place picked out and ready #but we have so much to do before we can get him there #and hopefully he will be moved next week #but I’m exhausted #mentally and physically #and I’ve cried every day for the past week #and I just broke this morning so that was fun

Gays deserve cheesy, romantic Christmas movies like A New York Christmas Wedding.

They deserve guardian angels and fantastical second chances that only straights get in holiday movies.

They deserve middle-aged women of color marrying their best friend/love of their lives.

They deserve hope that their church will accept them and their love and bless their marriages.

Gays deserve it all.

Four years ago my family made me SOB because of what they said to me about voting for Hillary. I was the only Democrat in the family (besides my grandparents but I’m talking immediate family)

Today me and both (3? If you include my sister-in-law) of my siblings voted blue.

I told my sister and she agrees that my mother is going to be less upset about the fact that I’m Gay and 10000% more upset that all four of us are Democrats. Which just shows how much you get brainwashed with this stuff in the south. (Not that I’m coming out to my parents rn. That would be detrimental to my metal and physical well being.)

Idk what my point is here but it’s nice to not feel like I’m crazy for having ‘radical’ views this year.

My biggest flex

In FL when you go to the DMV for anything they always ask you if you want to register to vote. You can either register for the Democratic Party, Republican Party, or as an independent BUT you are not allowed to vote in primaries if you’re an independent.

Five years ago my very conservative father and I went to the DMV to fix the title on my car- it was under both names since I got it as a teen (with my money but whatever) and we got it fixed. The lady asked if we wanted to register to vote and I said ‘Sure!’

The lady pulls out the paper work and goes “Okay honey how would you like to register?” She then explained the three options. I didn’t even think, I looked my father in the said “Democrat”

Me: okay so I can for sure do that after taking dad to his five dr appointments within the next two days but after that for sure you got it sleep and water.
