then theres the look!! i wanna know what they eyes are doing!! are they glaring straight ahead to avoid looking at whumper, or shooting daggers at them anyway? do they stare at the ground? or is it all listless if they've done this many times before?

and when you're done... i wanna know the result. what kind of gag is it (personally im a sucker for open-mouth) and how does it make em look? are they drooling already? what does whumper have to say about this?

Episode 5 was amazing in terms of whump. All of the boonboomgers (except Genba) got whumped.

I'm actually quite impressed with Jou. In the previous episode, he is made out to be the unlucky person that bad things keep happening to. But he is actually very smart, like when playing the darts, he threw the dart at the MoTW's eyes as a distraction so he can bring the people to safety then leading the MoTW and goons away from them. Then, try to fight off the MoTW despite not being a boonboomger yet. Jou probably knew he didn't stand a chance against the Hashilien, but still face them to protect others. Very whumpy I like. I hope this part of him will remain in the future episode where they face off more powerful and dangerous enemies. And Jou is just charging in and then gets hurt 🤭

As for Chasshiro, another smart one. Instead of playing the MoTW's game, he just straight up shoots at him. I predict him getting whumped due to his backstory. Him being a former spy reminds me of Mogami Souta/ Boukenblue. What exactly was his mission that involved Taiya? 🤔 And why was Taiya pointing his boonboom handle gun mode at him? So many questions, I just hope Chasshiro character arc will live up to my whumpy expectations.

As for Taiya, I know he would hit bullseye because so far, he seems to be perfect . But getting tied to the chair and getting electrocuted was a nice whumpy touch.

Taiya reminds me of Anthony Lockwood; both exuded confidence and are orphans (I assume Taiya is one since it is mentioned that he inherited his wealth at a young age). Lockwood turned out to be a traumatised teenage. I hope the same will be revealed about Taiya. Like about how his parents died, perhaps they were killed by the Hashiliens. I'm keeping my fingers crossed 🤞

taiya is def my main whumpee, but i think jou will be whumped the most in canon... next episode already looks rough for him (and everyone else too tbh, looks like the motw is a punishment themed dude or smth - but obvi more comedic bc it's a kids show lol)

Jou will probably continue getting whumped. I think he is suppose to be the comedic character but I hope he will not get whump just for laughs but it will contribute to the plot or character.

Taiya is such a cool and levelheaded character, I want to see him suffer. Since it was mention he inherited his wealth at a young age, so I'm thinking that his parents may have been killed by Hashirien peeps so more whump and angst there.

Anyways, I think Taiya will get whumped in the next ep. He was tied to a chair and electrocuted in the preview. I'm crossing my fingers that it would be whumpy even if that scene was a few seconds long. I think the MOTW is dart theme. But a punishment theme Motw would cool.

This trope is underrated but sooo good. Especially if the whumpee is interrogated for information he does not have or they got the wrong person. Whumpee is unable to communicate this to whumper, who thinks whumpee is being defiant and turns to more aggressive interrogation or torture.

Nonverbal/Nonspeaking Whumpees. And all that this entails.

Not sure where i got the impression that Naniwa Danshi members (except michi) are all short. They are probably taller than me irl.

But in Koisuru, Joichiro looks really small. Especially when he is beside Iwamoto Hikaru and Mizobata Junpei, they were towering over him.
